my_love_to_st_jimmy Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 For example, I said that if they ever come play in my little dreamdestroying land they should visit me. They can even sleep over if they want to. And to make everyone feel like home, Tre can sleep in a doggy house.I think all of my stupid things have something to do with him. Or when I said that if he thinks PARIS HILTON is hot, for few years he'll think of me as a sex bomb. Taller than him, pretty long legs and natural blonde. God, is he an idiot.... (that's what I love about him)
dryice923 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 uhm i've never contacted them. not everyone has met them or written to them you know.hey snaredrummer9. question: why exactly is your name in italics and dashed underlined in the list of viewing users? jw. [/spam]
snaredrummer9 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i told them the "mail man" song. it's very weird. i also told them that cockroaches are cute. and i told Tre that when they came to Aspen, they did not come up i-80, it was i-70.
drummer*chic Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 i wrote em a while ago like a long while ago they obviously dont really read em or reply... or do they? idk
Dai. Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I tried to search but the search engine is not working for me, so if this has been done before, I'm sorry.Back to topic, I've never wrote to Green Day, and I wouldn't do it unless I knew for sure the would receive it, since I'm pretty sure they don't read them. Or, at least, they read just a few.So, to make it more interesting, you can tell us (in the case that you wrote to them) what did you say and if you got any type of answer.
Cassie. Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 No i havent either. I doubt they would ever see it anyway so i see it as a waste of time. It would be kinda cool if you did write to them and they replied though
madie Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 i've thought about it... but what's it going to acieve?
nalehc Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Yeha I'm with you. It seems kinda pointless if they don't even read your letter.
Milan. Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 ive never wrote to them and i dont see a point, there getting thousands of letters of just fanmail.
Inane Kiss Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Nope. i steal all of thier fanmail and reply with "This is Billie Joe. You should be pushed up against a wall and shot." anyway, so i know it wouldn't get to them.and shouldn't the title be Have You Ever Written To Green Day?my dad's a book editor, meaning i have been raised by a grammer nazi.
Maru Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 No I haven't....and I'm not gonna....If I have anything to say to them I'll tell them in person..and if that day never comes, well...pitty.
Beara Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I was sitting in history class on day and i got really bored. So I decited to write a letter to Green Day. It was really long and elaborate and in it I wrote all about me and I told them all about how they had inspired me through out all these years while I was growing up. I never intended on sending the letter, cause I know that they'll never recieve it.............................bummer
spark in the night Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I havent, but maybe I willI want to write something really good, to make them interested enough to write back
Fuzz Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Directly to them, nope. I thought it about back in my more youthful teenage years. Never did though. Why bother them? They have enough fanmail as it is, and I'm sure they don't read it all.
Dai. Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 and shouldn't the title be Have You Ever Written To Green Day?I'm from Argentina, my english is not that good, but I'm pretty sure Andres can fix it for me
ArmatageShanks39 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 i think how it goes is they have a person who kinda moniters it, and if they get anything important (like from other bands, etc) then they give it to green day, but its not like they read the thousends of letters they get every day. they probly read a few for fun, but your odds are probly 1 in a thousand.
darkhriss Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Yeha I'm with you. It seems kinda pointless if they don't even read your letter.exactly

Guest 16PaperLanterns Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 i probably should. i've read recent interviews where they talk about the great fanmail and stuff so apparently they DO read it.
Inane Kiss Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I'm from Argentina, my english is not that good, but I'm pretty sure Andres can fix it for me Oooh. sorry, i havn't slept in a while, and forgot to check if english wasn't your first language.Ahhh i feel really bad now...
Dai. Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 i probably should. i've read recent interviews where they talk about the great fanmail and stuff so apparently they DO read it.Do you really think they read them all? They just say that to make us happy, to make us think, ih, they read what I wrote, I'm so important....let me tell you it's not like that. Sorry To Inane Kiss: No problem
M.J. Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I've written a letter to them before. With no intention of sending... but still, yeah.I'd have to give it to them in person in order to give it at all.
