Coffee In My 409 Maker Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Okay, so I don't know if someone has already made this thread. I searched and nothing came up (not what I was looking for, anyway). So unless I was searching the wrong words, than I guess this is the first. Hopefully.I've just been on aol with some people and they were talking about how they were losing interest/lost interest in Green Day. Some said it happened long ago, after Warning, some said it was during American Idiot, because of the sudden success, and lots more. So if you happen to think you are losing interest (or you already have) in Green Day, please explain your reason here.
the48maychick Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I dont think I'm losing intrest. If anything I am gaining more!
M.J. Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I listen to Green Day nearly all the time. I think the only reason I might be getting a bit sick of it is because I need some new CDs
Guest The Godfather Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I'm not losing interest in them or anything, but I haven't been listening to them much lately.I've discovered so many new bands recently, that Green Day has taken a back-seat. For the time being.
Peter. Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Over the past 13 years i've lost interest in Green Day a few times but never completely, have always loved their music and all but not always been listening as much to them as i do now..

For the time being.Exactly what I was gonna putI like other bands and Im hooked on them right now, and some of my Green Day cds are collecting dust.
Parley Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Not losing interest. I listen to other music, too, but Green Day still gets the most listens from me.

GreenDay-Idiot Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I haven't lost my interest. They're not "inn" anymore...that doesn't affects me.I listen to other bands and so I listen to Green Day.
LamBCHoP Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 i odnt listen to them as much as i used to, but that doesnt mean im losing interest - i just listened to insomniac and nimrod last night
VictimOfAuthority Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 im on green day community posting stuff in green day forums . . . im totally losing interest . . . no i used to listen to them 24/7 now i listen to all my music not just green day which is better because i get more exited when they play
Acadia Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 what i've been finding is the music that i used to listen to before i founded green day, i'm starting to get back into the swing of. no, i love listening to green day, but sometimes, when i listen to their music i don't get the same feeling as i used to, so i stop for a while so then later i can get the same tingly feeling again. i still love learning all about them and their style and what they say and do. hell, if i could even learn what their favorite foods where i would. no, i still love them. barely anybody at my school is interested in them, even the girls who went to the concert (the lucky bitches) don't even show any remote signs of likeing them, and that proves i don't like them because they are 'popular'. so, i still love green day, but it's good to listen to other things once and a while. so, no, i'm still interested in them.
Light My Fire Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 yes i;ve lost interest. i was literally obsessed with seeing them live for about 6 months and went into a manic state but i don;t really like them anymore.
sullenriot16 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I don't listen to them that often lately...you can only listen to CDs so much. And I am definately past the "green day is my life" stage. But they are still my favorite band--and I'm sure they always will be--no question about that. We're all still on GDC, aren't we? So everyone here must still somewhat care about green day.
LamBCHoP Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 iv never had this green day is my life phase.....iv been in a music-is-my-life phase for years now though
Acadia Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 iv never had this green day is my life phase.....iv been in a music-is-my-life phase for years now thoughi still am in my greendayismylife stage, i'm almost out of it, but then i don't want to be. i like having something to hold on to that i know i can trust in my life. i'm not ready to let that go just yet. green day helped me through my dad's stroke, and i will never forget that.

dryice923 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 hmm well all i can say is that i have decided tehy are not the best band on earth, whihc is what i used to think. "there is always someone better then you", i beleive in that. but i dont know *WHO* exaclty it is that is better then green day. i only discovered them a year after american idiot came out, but if i had been a long-term fan i probably would have decided they were going down-hill roundsabout nimrod. green day helped me through my dad's stroke, and i will never forget that. sevear un-diagnosed depression, for me. AND deciding that i life *does* have meaning after all.

hammer55 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Well, I no longer listen to Green Day exclusively. That might be a good thing, because for the past 5 years it was almost obsessive lol. I still listen to them 95% of the time.I think that just means I've got into other good bands, like Ramones and etc, but my interest in Green Day is still as strong, if not stronger. For example, I'm in the process of creating the ultimate compilation album for Green Day, of rare songs, including official releases, and live covers that spans their career (and multiple CDs). If you haven't already, check it out here.
LouLou Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Nope. Im not losing interest at all and I hope that I never do.
S.cattered Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Not losing interest. I listen to other music, too, but Green Day still gets the most listens from me. i agree i like other music alot but Green Day still gets first pick

It's a part of life.Music reflects who a certain person is. And people, as with anything, changes. You're only 13 years old right, every 13 year old was obsessed with something, who later in life doesn't like at all. It's a part of growing up. You may like Green Day forever, and became a huge fan of there's. The probability of it is doubtful. But it's likely. Why do you capitalize every first letter in every word ?
