the newsagent across the road from work that i buy the paper and smokes from every morning.

always has green day warning "the album playing"

a girl that works there always plays it and is into green day.

talked to her for a month.

asked her on a date, she prefers the company of girls.

she still rules though.

i guess its not a weird place to hear a gd song in a shop.

thats kinda the type of place i heard it, i was at a state convention for a program called skills usa in columbus, ohio and there was about 6-7 thousand students and we were in this huge ampitheater and all day we had heard a lot of speeches and it honestly felt like we signed up for a cult, but then out of nowhere, they start playing holiday! i was like wtf? all the kids went nuts and starting singing it but i thought it would have been more funny if the dumbasses would have played american idiot lol

I heard Good Riddance while I was at my acupuncture/ chiropractic appointment, then right after that a Beatles song played.

It turns out that the Dr. is a fan of Green Day

A couple of weeks ago, I went to a house party. There were about 20 people there, and some guy playing music off his laptop. Out of nowhere I heard Basket Case start playing, and everybody in the room starting singing along. It was really weird, since I really didn't think too many kids who live in my town even liked Green Day. It definitely caught me off guard, but it was the best party I've ever been too...mainly because of those few minutes.
