Well, I thought I could open this thread and see what you have to say about Green Day, how many times you have seen them, and when/where it was and how long you've been a fan or, first album, what got you into them... whatever.

Because otherwise it's just randomly scattered around the forum. I think this thread actually has a good purpouse...

I've never seen them live... :(

I've been a fan since I was young, as I've said before, my brother listened to them alot when I was younger, and I thought they were great.

First album I bought was American Idiot, but first album I listened to all the time was Dookie (Again, thanks to my brother).

I heard Welcome to Paradise on the radio which I loved, and my friend recommended that I buy Dookie...so I did. This was not too long before American Idiot was released. Then I got AI when it came out and became an even bigger fan. I've seen them three times...Atlantic City, Giants Stadium, and Philly. The third time I got a chance to go to their soundcheck. It was awesome. Oh yeah, and I tried to see them when they were on Conan but I did not get in. The end.

I absolutely love them. I'd class myself as one of the biggest fans, I've followed them for about 2 and a half years now, I know basically all there is to know about them but I've only seen them live once, and that was fantastic. I've seen other performances on DVD and shit and they really know how to put on a show.

Green Day??? BEST FUCKING BAND EVER. There.

PS- I saw them live in september. Best night of my life.

I've seen them live once, last year in Carson.

I've been a fan since... 2004 >_>

My first album was Dookie.

What got me into them? I dunno. I basically heard their songs and got addicted.

Concerts: 0 (I'm going to try to go to one next time they're near me)

I've been a fan since about 2002. I'd heard their songs before, but didn't find that out until AI. I basically saw them/heard them a lot since American Idiot and so I started to read the fan sites and look at their other songs etc, and found out that songs like Longview, Nice Guys Finish Last, and Basket Case.. were songs I had heard when I was younger. I got reallyyyy into their music about two months ago.
