Fuzz Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Someone sent me this song asking if I knew what it was. I can tell it's Green Day and I assume it is a cover song, but I haven't a clue from who. Maybe someone can tell me? Listen.
Guest Immortality Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 You sure it's not one of Billie's songs he never put on a CD? I mean, I just googled the first line of the song "I got this feeling that's coming over me" which usually gets me to the lyrics with the title of the song and artist, but nothing came up.
SullenRiot Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 You sure it's not one of Billie's songs he never put on a CD? I mean, I just googled the first line of the song "I got this feeling that's coming over me" which usually gets me to the lyrics with the title of the song and artist, but nothing came up. I did the same thing, and not one of the results came close to the lyrics of that song. I don't know what it could be...
Jillie Boe. Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 yeah there's a couple of unknown songs that have been sung in the early concerts around 89, 91 and 92 but nobody has a clue what they are on gdlo.
vera51 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Sorry Andres, I dunno. But I know that they played that song 1989 at Gilman Street. here I really like that song. Before they played that song Billie said: This is a song for people in love. That all I know.
scumbag Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 it feels like i've heard it before, but i probably haven't.

Before they played that song Billie said: This is a song for people in love. That all I know. maybe it was a song for adrienne, but it didn't make the record because it was too early to be doing songs like that, then again they were just friends round about then, were they?....i don't know. It could be just a cover but i have a feeling it isn't. DAMN IT!...thats a old song!...i heard it somewhere but i cant think of the damn name...this is gonna bug the shit outta me now me too this is so annoying
StrayJr Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 That's a really good song, it must be one of those ones that they eventually scratched out and found something better (Though they should have recorded it as a B side or something).
Parley Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 "We don't have a setlist tonight because we couldn't find a pen."
mbk Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I'm bumping this cos I want someone to figure this out. What is this song?
CaesarSalad Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I'll post an unhelpful post and say I don't know either, but I like it. What'd he say at the end? "like a penguin, he'salways there"
rudiecantfail Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 It reminds me of that clip they showed on Driven where he's playing that song at school....that doesn't help though.
Guest Holden Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 My dad said it reminded him of something by blue oyster cult.. but none of the lyrics came up
sullenriot16 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Didn't they show Billie playing that on Driven?
Guest Holden Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 mine says its from Kalx 1989?? i believe thats the file name does anyone have the audio program where you can delete the background parts and just leave the vocals?
pero2008 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I duuno what the song is called but i like it.
Soysauce Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 That is a nice song. I just don't know what the hell it's from. It definetly sounds familiar, too...someone better figure it out because I definetly want to know now... I like what they say at the end. "He's like a penguin, he's always there. Penguins are always everywhere" or something along those lines. Haha.
nicoleah Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 hm..in the beginning it sounds like he says "this is a poem". My guess is that he wrote it and never put it on a cd.
rockerbabe443 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I've never heard it before. I like it though. But probably only the band really knows.
