Someone sent me this song asking if I knew what it was. I can tell it's Green Day and I assume it is a cover song, but I haven't a clue from who.

Maybe someone can tell me?

Listen.

You sure it's not one of Billie's songs he never put on a CD? I mean, I just googled the first line of the song "I got this feeling that's coming over me" which usually gets me to the lyrics with the title of the song and artist, but nothing came up.

I did the same thing, and not one of the results came close to the lyrics of that song. I don't know what it could be...

yeah there's a couple of unknown songs that have been sung in the early concerts around 89, 91 and 92 but nobody has a clue what they are on gdlo.

Sorry Andres, I dunno. But I know that they played that song 1989 at Gilman Street. here I really like that song. Before they played that song Billie said: This is a song for people in love.

That all I know.

maybe it was a song for adrienne, but it didn't make the record because it was too early to be doing songs like that, then again they were just friends round about then, were they?....i don't know. It could be just a cover but i have a feeling it isn't.

That's a really good song, it must be one of those ones that they eventually scratched out and found something better (Though they should have recorded it as a B side or something).

"We don't have a setlist tonight because we couldn't find a pen."

It reminds me of that clip they showed on Driven where he's playing that song at school....that doesn't help though.

My dad said it reminded him of something by blue oyster cult.. but none of the lyrics came up

Didn't they show Billie playing that on Driven?

That is a nice song. I just don't know what the hell it's from. It definetly sounds familiar, too...someone better figure it out because I definetly want to know now...

 I like what they say at the end. "He's like a penguin, he's always there. Penguins are always everywhere" or something along those lines. Haha.

hm..in the beginning it sounds like he says "this is a poem". My guess is that he wrote it and never put it on a cd.

I've never heard it before. I like it though. But probably only the band really knows.
