Beyond_Electric_Dreams Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I can stand a lot of other stuff that Green Day has done this past year with American Idiot, but now they have one of their songs covered on kidz bop, oh yes its true. They really need to draw the line somewhere, i mean come on punk rock on a cd that is for little kids. What does everyone else think? "Music written from devotion Not ambition, not for fame, Zero people are exploited There are no tricks, up our sleeve" -NOFX
sullenriot16 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Old news. And I don't think I can stand another sellout type thread.
Chuch Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Yeah, its blvd of broken dreams,i hate it cause the kids sing in it..and it messes up the songs. :verymad:
Jamie311 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Eh...at least it was not like Holiday or something that they would had to have changed the words for.
GreenDay85 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Which song?? BOBD or WMUWSE? i think they've done both on kidz bop. i know WMUWSE is on the newest one becuz i saw a commercial for it the other night.
*withoutadoubt* Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I just saw a commercial 3x for Kids Bop w/ WMUWSE on it. Kids can listen to punk, mine do. The original stuff.
sullenriot16 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 i think they've done both on kidz bop. i know WMUWSE is on the newest one becuz i saw a commercial for it the other night. It frustrates me to see you people waste your lives concerned about things like this.
CaesarSalad Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 It frustrates me to see you people waste your lives concerned about things like this. Exactly. Who cares. I don't. Don't buy the CD if you don't like it.
Jamie311 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 It frustrates me to see you people waste your lives concerned about things like this. Seriously...not a big concern...I was just curious. I'm allowed to wonder aren't I?
Anna A Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Haha! I saw the little dude singing WMUWSE on that commercial....It was so LAME! Kinda scary too. It's like his eyes were boring right into your skull......He had such a high voice! Not for much longer though. I don't think Green Day (Especially Billie) agreed to the singing of one of most their deeply personal songs by some 10 year old kid who looked like his mom layed out a suit for him the ngiht before. It was probably Warner.....bastards.
sullenriot16 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Seriously...not a big concern...I was just curious. I'm allowed to wonder aren't I? I understand. Its just that this has been discussed soo many times...
GreenDay85 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 It frustrates me to see you people waste your lives concerned about things like this. i was just answering a question. i don't really even care about it.
greendaygirl191 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Yeah now they have done BOBD and WMUWSE. They also ruined a few other songs on this new one. Nickleback...Weezer...
Jamie311 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I understand. Its just that this has been discussed soo many times... I am sure it has...and I am sorry...But it is news to me.
Country Girl Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Im so pissed about this its not even funny..kids should never be allowed to sing. Its just wrong! lol you people are funny.
Blu Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Did you know that when an artist's song goes on a disc like Kidz Bop it's not even them singing it? It is usually some crap band doing a kids version cover. They never sound as good. I've seen the commercials, but I don't really care. CDs like that are crap.
Kyatie123 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 lets just start counting how many times this topic comes up in here
YouGot409InYourCoffeeMaker Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 well i don't understand the point in making it "kidz bop"...why not just edit the songs and put them on an album. why must they have kids singing it? maybe they like their punk rock watered down....that's all I can think of...
annie Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Kidz Bop is a fucking disgrace to music. I would love to punch whoever came up with the idea for Kidz Bop. Hey, lets have a bunch of little talentless kids ruin good songs!
