miss_youngblood Posted Wednesday at 02:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:57 PM Hey all. I just recently watched Green Day's documentary-styled concert movie the other day. It was directed by the same person who has created several of Green Day's music videos. I personally love it. For many years, like most fans, I spend my free time listening to Green Day. When this came out in the mid-2000s, and also during the American Idiot era, I bought the album about a year later and also purchased Bullet in a Bible. Today, you can stream it online which is amazing. I am curious though, does any like any iconic parts from the movie or like I mentioned initially, have heard of it? 3 Quote
jengd Posted Wednesday at 07:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:25 PM I love it but wish there were fewer special effects and black and white bits. Nevertheless it’s a great video, great show. 4 Quote
She-Loves-Him Posted Wednesday at 07:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:44 PM It's technically the album/DVD that got me into Green Day when it came out, so I'll always love it We had gotten it for my brother for Christmas for some reason (no idea why) and I was obsessed, it effectively became mine, and now here we are 20 years later. The BIAB version of Jesus of Suburbia is one of my top songs of all time. 4 Quote

Popular Post That Dude Posted yesterday at 12:48 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 12:48 AM Recently, a coworker was telling me the story about the bullet in the bible - the guy that was saved by the bible. I had to bring up Green Day. 7 Quote
Long Lost King of Fools Posted yesterday at 06:35 PM Posted yesterday at 06:35 PM Damn right I remember it! It feels relatively new to me but that's because I'm old and don't understand time (actually I just refuse to acknowledge time but same diff) lol 3 Quote
Flashback Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Sonically the best live album ever. Amazing what Green Day, CLA and Ted Jensen achieved. 1 Quote

I asked my mum to buy me a Green Day CD and she took me to a record shop in town. The bloke working there started gushing about how they're better live so I should get the live album... and I apparently took that advice very seriously 4 Quote
Dingle Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Every time I watch the video I get goose bumps and an adrenaline rush. It takes be back to being there in Milton Keynes on June 18, 2005 the first of two nights. 65,000 fans. Man it was hot, over 30° C I think. I was at the back of stadium, so band were so far away but could still make out Billie Joe running up and down the stage as always, but the two big screens helped. But didn't give a shit, just followed Billie Joe's instructions and went fuckin' crazy and jumping up and down with everyone else. At end of show I was soaking wet from the heat and fans, but I was gone, I'd died and gone to heaven. lol. The movie brings the show close up which is cool. The only disappointment was it's been cut with 5 songs not broadcast and other things. Memories are a wonderful thing, to remember those good time. But to see it again is something else. 4 Quote
Mar Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I was at a record store yesterday and they wanted $40 for the Blu-ray version of it, which surprised me! I have the DVD version (which I only paid $6 for 😄) and it made me realize that I need to do a rewatch. Quote
