How does Green Day change the way you listen to music?

I started listening to much more punk rock when I was introduced to Green Day about eight or so years ago. They introduced me to Social Distortion, The Offspring, and basically any 90's 00's era emo or punk band. I also got into metal and metalcore a little later. I don't know how that came about .

Before I knew Green Day I didn't really listen to musica and I didn't like anything. When I got into them everything changed. I listed to American Idiot on repeat for a year, then got into their other stuuf. Eventually I got into more emo and punk stuff so they basically changed my entire music life and I def woud not be who I am now without them
