Late to this conversation since I am not on here much anymore, but I was pumped when I first heard this announcement a week ago. Now we just need to get my Patriots into the Super Bowl. 😀 I have always wanted to see Green Day perform at a Super Bowl, so this is a dream come true. Also, I am not sure if this is accurate or not, but I am hearing rumblings of Green Day also joining Bad Bunny for part of the halftime show. Seems like an interesting pairing, but I am curious if anyone else hear has heard anything like that?

Ever since Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson the Super Bowl has performers on a delay. Should GD say anything they would blur out any crushing so while he might say something it will be bleeped definitely.

It’s for a ceremony where they’re ’ushering’ past Super Bowl mvps onto the field. I highly doubt the they’ll say anything political and they probably won’t even play American idiot. I could be wrong but don’t get your hopes up.

They won't. GD's opening, Bad Bunny's performing at halftime. The only way they perform together is if GD does a "guest spot" in Bad Bunny's halftime set.

I’m glad they get to be part of the Super Bowl, even though I personally am not a football fan. I know that some of them are sports fans, so it’s probably a fun thing for them to be in. I don’t think as many people will watch the opening ceremony as will watch half time, but it will still be a good audience.  However, I have low expectations of them making a big political statement other than the lyrics of their songs. I imagine if they get time to speak, Billie will say something about taking care of each other, or something along those lines. But definitely nothing like a “No Trump, no kkk” chant. But I would love to be proven wrong!
