what kind of show/ceremony is this? will it take place just before the kickoff? and is this part of the international broadcast?

This is the opening ceremony in the stadium prior to the game.  This is exciting!  Performing a selection of their best-known anthems as part of the tribute.

Suddenly I care about the super bowl. This is exciting! The super bowl is being held here in the bay area this year, so it makes sense that a bay area band will do a pre-game performance. I wish they got chosen to do the half time show, oh well

NFL being my favourite sport with NHL, I can't wait to see this.
Biggest sport in America, Green Day will get fucking mainstream and everywhere if they tell the piggy POTUS to stay quiet on stage. Would be so cool to call him and ICE.
