They’ve been doing a some Superbowl weekend event most recent years but if this one isn’t livestreamed I have to wonder what the point is of promoting an invite only event no one else will get to see

I keep reading that it will be broadcast but who really knows how much of it will be with commercials and other football related coverage needed prior to the game.

This performance is the invite only show on Friday. You may be thinking of the Superbowl opening ceremony performance Sunday. That one is being broadcast before the game

You’re probably right.  Just reading so many articles about both and probably got confused.
