QuirkyCorkey Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Haven’t seen too many ranking posts on here lately (recently had to make a new account because I forgot my old login info) so I thought I’d start a new one! What are your top 5 Green Day B-Sides? Can be any original Green Day song not released on a studio album (Including only played live, but not including covers)! My Choices are: 5. Minnesota Girl - I live only 50 Miles from Minnesota and love it there. The melody is great and reminds me of ‘Razor Baby’. 4. Desensitized - Highly underrated song with an impeccable chorus. Would have been amazing on Nimrod! 3. Dreamcatcher - Was glad to hear on These Paper bullets but would love to hear a studio version someday. Highly unlikely, but you never know. 2. Hearts Collide - One of favourite Green Day songs and works perfect on its own as a B-Side. If they ever issue C&V’s, would live to hear an updated studio version. 1. Do Da Da - Holds a special place in my heart as being my first random GD song uncovered in the early days of Napster. I had no idea what it was or where it was from only being 12 or 13, but was blown away by hearing a GD song not on an album. As close to discovering treasure as anything. 3 Quote
billy1986 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 1.) Do Da Da great poetry and melody love it. 2.) Dreamcatcher I’ve been in love with this song the second I heard of ever recorded properly on an album could be a hit IMO 3.) Olivia love the sound kinda has an Irish jig folksy flair to it. Hopefully one day it gets released. 4.) Suffocate this song is so catchy would have fit on Insomniac or Nimrod great melody. 5.) Don’t Wanna Fall in Love/Rotting both are awesome love the bleakness in them and Billie’s voice. Mid 90’s style. 3 Quote

Popular Post Cris. Posted Monday at 10:48 AM Popular Post Posted Monday at 10:48 AM Are we counting demos that significantly deviated from songs that ended up in the albums? Because if so, Black Eyeliner x5 2 3 Quote

And I like that not only did the chorus become a song a couple years later but the melody of the verses was used 21 years later (Kill Your Friends from The Longshot) 4 1 Quote
