My name is Stefano, I'm from Italy and I'm 35.

I've started following the band on 2009 after became a fan in 2005.

I can't get to a show on the 21st Century Breakdown world tour but I've seen the band live for the first time in 2013 *(after I've attended to a cancel show the year before).

After that I'd saw the band in 2017 and 2022, and everytime the band did a tour, it seems to me it's getting better than the previous times and the Saviors world tour was no exception.

The whole Saviors era felt special to me because I love the album so much (the standard edition it's in my top 3 album) and also it's my first time seen the band twice (almost 3 times) during a whole era.

Talking about the shows, after I couldn't get the tickets to the club show in 2023, I've finally saw the band in Milan the year after.

I can say that the show was awesome, everything was amazing the scenography, the band was on fire as always and the setlist.

I've love Saviors 's songs even more on a live setting and been able to see American Idiot and Dookie in their entirety exceeded my wildest dreams. I was in the pit rocking to every songs while I did a few photos and videos to had the memories after the show ended.

I was only disappointed that the band had to cut Minority and Bobby Sox of the setlist 'cause I'd love to hear it, especially the new one, but I still couldn't know how the following year would go.

The band return to Europe in 2025 and I've got the ticket to see them in Firenze.

Made the trip and also stay a few days to visit the city and also I'd walk by the hotel where the band was supposedly staying since I saw lots of people with Green Day t-shirt, unfortunately I didn't see the band members.

Anyway let's get to the show.

I was in the pit a little bit closer to the stage since the venue was a little bit smaller.

The show was amazing even though it was shorter.

The band was on fire and the setlist was awesome.

They played Minority and Bobby Sox which left me disappointed the year before in Milan but that was expected.

This show's setlist was shorter but filled with surprises.

They played 80 and Murder City in full ( and I'd lost my brain to both) plus a partial versions of One of my Lies to 86 and At the Library.

I was exalted after the show and even I was tired I was so full of energy.

Of course I was singing the entire show while I was doing photos and videos.

It's a very amazing tour and Saviors also became the soundtrack of this two amazing years.

I was also amazed by the livestream we've got (Rock am Ring, Isle of Wight and Corona Capital in 2024, Coachella, Hurricane and The Town in 2025) which of course I've watched it all, even if not in real time.

My favourite Saviors's songs is Dilemma which reminds me of a few tough years in my life (a few years before COVID-19 and the lockdown period) which I've experienced dark thoughts and it seems to became like an addiction to me.

Of course seen the song love in person and on the stream had made me emotional.

A soft spot also belongs to Bobby Sox since my best friend is homosexual and a few days after Firenze's show he proposed to me to become his best man to his wedding.

A special era ended and I can't wait to know what the band do in the future

I've been a fan since 2005 and I saw them live for the first time in Greece so it was obviously a blast. I was right in front and it was a great experience.

I‘m Elke from Germany, age is not important.😉

I only discovered GD with the release of Saviors (which I deeply regret…), so the Saviors tour was the first tour for me.

In 2024 I saw two shows, Nuremberg (Rock im Park) and Berlin. Nuremberg as the „first contact“ was amazing, and somehow I ended up in the - admittedly quite tame - moshpit. It was a lot of fun and I only got out of there for a while when Billie wanted a wall of death.😂

Berlin was great, too, of course but somehow I don’t remember much. I seem to have spent the evening in a kind of daze… I remember that there was a light rain and that the atmosphere was magical somehow, but sadly not many details.

In 2025 it began in Vienna. At the first show there, I (and my husband) had front of stage tickets and a great evening. But you know: the second night is always better than the first! I went alone, I had a VIP ticket and I queued for the first time in my life. It was a great experience to see and get to know so many like minded people in the queue, including some from the GDC.😃 With the help of the VIP ticket I managed to get front row. It was awesome to be so near to the band and be able to see everything in detail. One of the deep cuts was Forever Now, and I love love love this song so much! It was one of the best nights of my life.

About two weeks later we went to Luxembourg. And this was special, too. First it was nice to see that a lot of those crazy fans from Vienna were there again. Besides Luxembourg is a charming place in itself, and this combined with the hype of GD fans everywhere and extraordinary heat (hottest week of the year) made for an atmosphere never to forget. The show up on a hill in the city was perfect. I was extremely happy.

…and felt quite depressed during the following days when seemingly everyone went on to Amsterdam for the next show. For which I didn’t have tickets. Feeling left behind in still horribly hot Luxembourg wasn’t nice.

But then we went on to Belgium to see GD one more time at Rock Werchter. This is a pleasant festival. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and finally at 11 pm GD came onstage and everyone went crazy. What a night! My highlight was them playing Saviors, my favorite song of the album.

Slight post concert depression for the following weeks until the South America tour began. Then at least I could watch all those fan videos on Instagram and get hyped up about the question what deep cut had been played.
And now? As a relatively new fan I‘ve never experienced a time „between eras“. What to do now? I decided that I somehow had to fill this void they left behind and bought an electric guitar. You are never to old to start learning an instrument….

Good luck learning to play the guitar. It's a noble thing to play an instrument, and very rewarding. To play an instrument even if it's just to entertain yourself is an amazing feeling. It'll hurt a tad until your fingertips get used to pressing the strings, but keep at it, it will be worth it I promise you.

As Billie Joe said in the song 'Forever Now' "I never learned to read or write so well (freaking out) but I can play the guitar until it hurts like hell " lol.

Thank you! Right now I have the impression that my hands are too small.😅 But I hope that more practice will solve that problem. Besides I‘m doing it just for fun. And it really IS fun!😃

I’ve been thinking of those lyrics too…😂

Not for the article (since it’s past the deadline anyway), but I have great memories from this tour. I saw them three times—in San Francisco in 2024, then BottleRock (where I also saw the Coverups) and San Bernardino this year. They were all amazing concerts, but I can definitely say the one in 2024 was the best concert I’ve ever been to. And it was special because I got to take all three of my kids and their significant others. It was the first time I’ve taken all three kids to a concert together, and the only band we can all agree on! I love sharing my love of Green Day with them!

I tried to contribute to this but I couldn't finish my story on time... However, I wanna share it!!

Well guys, my name is Ricardo and I'm a proud Green Day fan from Chile, since 2000. I went to the GD show in Santiago, Chile on August 30th. Although this was the shortest GD gig I've been, it was the perfect mix of my experiences lived from the first two shows I attended in Chile (2010 and 2017).

Why do I say this? Well, in 2010 I was so hyped for my first time to watch Green Day live, 10 years waiting for that moment and the show BLEW MY MIND, almost 3 hours the band playing, so many classics and deep cuts like Geek Stink Breath, Nice Guys Finish Last, Stuck With Me, Paper Lanterns, Burnout, 2000 LYA, etc. However, I was alone. I met some people and we shared our expectations prior to the show.

Then in 2017, the band played in the same place as 2010 (Bicentenario de la Florida Stadium, Santiago Chile) and I enjoyed it, too. However, I didn't feel the same impact I think. On the other hand, they played one of my favorite songs ever... WAITING. Also they played Knowledge. The best thing for me in that show it was I met some Internet friends from Chilean GD forurms and GD Chile fan club. I got some pictures with those friends.

Finally, my third show, Saviors era... What can I say when the word "Special" is not enough to describe my feelings about how glad I was to be there? Now I'm 41, I've been a fan for 25 years and I had the chance to go to the show with one of my dearest cousins, Julio (or "Julín", as he likes to be named). I love him as a big brother, he's 43. Thanks to him, when I met Green Day music, he taught me about punk bands like Ramones and other punk bands from Chile and Argentina when we were teenagers. He is not a Green Day fan, but he loves Dookie album since that times. However, he wanted to go and listen to the band live for first time. He just knew Dookie tracks and some of the biggest hits like BOBD, Brain Stew, Holiday, American Idiot, Hitchin' a Ride, Minority, etc.

The show was shorter but I was so happy to watch Green Day, they looked so inspired and enjoying to be there with all of us. When Bohemian Rhapsody started, it was a huge "sing along" moment, then my cousing enjoyed the Punk Bunny show with Ramones' Blitzkrieg Bop. Then, Green Day came out and we reacted with all the exciment , singing, jumping like we were teenagers again. When the show almost ended and Billie started to play Time of your life I cried like a little boy meanwhile I was trying to sing and hug my cousin, telling him: "Thank you Julín to be here, living this moment with me". He was telling the whole night and the day after how good the concert was, how good green day are live, and stuff like that. He got a great impression from the band.

Also, the best moment of the show... HAUSHINKA!! GOD I WAS YELLING SO LOUD!! What a deep cut?! From my favorite album, NIMROD!! Splendid surprise from Green Day to all of us, the Chilean fans!!

After the show, I met again with some friends (the same ones from 2017 show), and they took some photos. Then we had to leave, because my cousing had to be at his job in a restaurant. There was a The Doors tribute band playing there. However, before we left the Estadio Nacional, I wanted to give a souvenir to my cousin and bought something for me, too. So, I bought a T-shirt for him and a Hoodie for me. He wore that T-shirt with proudness.

With no doubt, one of the best times of my life and  being a Green Day fan!!

I'm the guy with the blue jacket and next to me is my cousin.
