starting to wonder if maybe Warning, Hold On, Waiting and Minority's demos were  closer to the final release, hense why they weren't in the box

It's Amazon's decision. They're probably selling it below their wholesale rate at a loss at this point, because Amazon is big enough to take the loss. They just want to make SOMETHING back. They do that if they're trying to offload inventory, so it tells me preorders (at least for the CDs) did not do very well. At least, that was the case when this sort of thing would happen at the label I worked for.

This seems accurate. Walmart is also selling at the same price, which leads me to believe Warner is working with them to coordinate the price drops to pump sales (source: also worked at a label where this stuff happened).

Another half cooked move by reprise. At least otis mixes are cool and different, even if Waiting has rerecorded guitars.

Demos are ok, but nothing more revealing. Sad

The front of the boxset box is what the cover of the album always should've been! Nice to see the warning man used properly

Finally we get some demos that don't sound like the completed songs - with Billie running through Misery and Jackass with seemingly no lyrics to speak of.   Very interesting that Mike and Tre wrote lyrics for Misery - maybe they really loved the melody but Billie didn't any verse ideas.

Website is down. The new website for Warning is coming.

speaking of that new website, i just checked it out and god, the color scheme is just fucking with my eyes right now. i hate how the colors look together. neon green and hot pink... doesn't really go well together.

i know redesigning and making websites in general is fairly hard, but i guess they could've at least put the effort to color it green or something... or just not put the warning cover behind the big pink letters? i dunno. i hate the way it clashes.

And yet the official Green Day/Warner store still has it at full price. If I had pre-ordered from there I’d be pissed.

I was looking at 2000's album release and WHOA.  So many great albums that year, I can't even type them all (I tried).   Pretty much every album that came out in 2000 was a banger.   Is warning the best though?   Yeah, I think so.

I was 15 when warning came out.  Nimrod had blown my mind and had me seeking out all kinds of new music - a very exciting period.  They weren't my #1 favorite yet.    That would come after warning - with the one-two punch of International Superhits and Shenanigans - and that INSANE build up to their much whispered about rock opera.     25 years.   whoa.

The music scene in the early y2k are really something. Something in today's music scene won't capture it. You know what i mean

The original artwork for warning is already perfect for me mostly when you have it physically. The artwork colors looks more vibrant or something than digitally on your phone or monitor screen

I was happy to pay full price but it seems odd that the Uk (and others?) are paying such a different price?!

I was going to hold off for now too but bought it at that price! Even with the shipping to the UK it's less than half the price it is over here! £55 on Amazon UK.

Edit - or maybe it's not letting me buy it at that price from the UK. Whatever I try it won't accept the payment method. Will just have to wait!

The highlights of this edition are:

- 2000 light years away / knowledge live with winds section

- warning live

- platypus live

Don't understand why so low volume (same as cd 3 american idiot 20). Can someone explain this strange decisión? Both sounds as bootlegs

I just think the Warning man is such a great design it was criminal not to put it on the cover. I have the physical CD from 20 years ago and it's fine but not their most interesting cover

I don't know if it's a sarcastic remark or I'm just not getting it, but in the liner notes of the vinyl box it says "...it hurts so good that Warning's 'Blood, Sex & Booze' explored S&M - a hard-hitting theme first addressed head on by Green Day on Tré Cool's 'Tortured Love Slave'...". Written by David Wild.

Did nobody went over his text? Just proves that people who threw this together didn't care enough to fact check.

That's really weird lmao. I'm kind of glad I'm not buying this and just listening to it for free

I got a 90 day free trial of Amazon music by purchasing the discounted box set.  I won't use it but nice!

Looking at my old cd booklet, Fashion Victim says "youth crew" randomly but I don't hear that lyric.  What?
