I never listen to the radio edit versions, and I don't know anyone who does. My one and only exception to that is "I Want to Break Free" by Queen. For whatever reason, the song on the album is about 3 minutes long and cuts out large chunks of instrumentation that, frankly, the song kinda doesn't work without. I think it kinda doesn't work even with them, but it's really weird getting a 3-minute album cut then a 4:30 radio edit. Gotta wonder what was going through heads there. 1 Quote

For me personally, it's purely nostalgia. Even back in the day, I vastly preferred the album version of Holiday (or even the Sessions @ AOL live version). It's a weird feeling of there no longer being any trace of a piece of media you used to regularly consume. I know people in the wider internet have their own lost media searches for station bumpers or SpongeBob commercials, but my white whale is this damn edit. Quote
