A little over a year and a half since Saviors came out, so when could we start hearing any rumors or hints about album 15?

I would absolutely love something like 21st Century Breakdown again just one more time in their career. The incredible production, the wide variety of instruments and arrangements, Billie Joe's vocal range, etc etc etc. An unbelievable record start to finish.

How did that come to be? The band feeling adventurous after American Idiot? Warner/Reprise asking them for an epic follow up to American Idiot? Butch Vig's touch?

Same here. I'd love to see something with that level of ambition again.

Another rock opera would be really great. At the beginning of the Saviors era I thought that they release a zombie-themed concept album because of the website, video, and so on. On the other hand I think that 21CB was also the product of Billie's mental state at this time, so I don't expect another album like this ever again (maybe luckily for Billie's health).

If I remember correctly Billie said that 21st CB is one of his favorite albums, but that the majority of the songs reminds him of being drunk, tired and having mental problems during that time, and that's why they don't play anything of that reord,  besides KYE, 21 guns and Murder City obviously.. 

I can't see that we're gonna get a new album like this again 😕

I really hope that they go beyond their "comfort zone" and just put out a album with variety, all from acoustic songs to ballads to short and fast songs or anything in between

21CB was a phenomenal album. The first time I listened to it I was blown away! It was (and still is) the most amazing album I have heard in my life.   I wonder if Butch Vig  did influence that.  Of course,  I suppose I am a bit biased, being from Madison.

Just listening through to the album again for the first time in a while and I still love it. So sad I only ever got to see them play TADIKM and missed the rest of the tour (health and stuff).

I am not sure if the boys are still on a break or not, but since the trend of every four years is a thing, I would assume anywhere between 2028 and 2032 (that's weird to type out ).

Yes, i assumed theyd probably have a new album by 2028-2030... i think its a bit weird to think i'll be nearly out of school by then 🥲

A 2028 release could then possibly mean they'd start teasing by the end of this year. If we actually go with the 2 years and 42 days.

But yeah, they're still on a break and who knows for how long they want to chill.

I think he mentioned he wanted to take a break from Green Day after the Saviors tour to do something with a side project maybe. I can't remember if he mentioned Pinhead Gunpowder or if I was just hoping it would be that. 😅

Well, that would be okay. I don’t care what exactly he does as long as we get new music or some shows (even if I can only see them on IG or YT). Not hearing anything of him over a longer period of time would be….not nice!
