Popular Post Sanity Loan Posted December 31, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 31, 2025 I would absolutely love something like 21st Century Breakdown again just one more time in their career. The incredible production, the wide variety of instruments and arrangements, Billie Joe's vocal range, etc etc etc. An unbelievable record start to finish. How did that come to be? The band feeling adventurous after American Idiot? Warner/Reprise asking them for an epic follow up to American Idiot? Butch Vig's touch? 7 2 Quote

I'd love to see something with that level of ambition again. 5 Quote

At the beginning of the Saviors era I thought that they release a zombie-themed concept album because of the website, video, and so on. On the other hand I think that 21CB was also the product of Billie's mental state at this time, so I don't expect another album like this ever again (maybe luckily for Billie's health). 2 Quote

If I remember correctly Billie said that 21st CB is one of his favorite albums, but that the majority of the songs reminds him of being drunk, tired and having mental problems during that time, and that's why they don't play anything of that reord, besides KYE, 21 guns and Murder City obviously.. I can't see that we're gonna get a new album like this again 😕 I really hope that they go beyond their "comfort zone" and just put out a album with variety, all from acoustic songs to ballads to short and fast songs or anything in between 2 Quote
