Popular Post pacejunkie punk Posted Sunday at 02:53 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 02:53 PM 👏👏👏 Welcome back and thank you for all the hard work. GDA was once a great reference resource (still is for tour dates) and I know it will be again. The occasional support and interaction of the Green Day team made this place unique too. Fan message boards were my first introduction to the internet way back when and I still love having a place just for fans to connect and interact without all the other bullshit of scams, bots and trolls. I recently deleted my Facebook and backed away from the cesspool of most social media and I’ve been focusing back on the fan and special interest forum formats I once loved through Reddit and here. Still the best. 4 4 Quote
Popular Post jengd Posted Sunday at 03:32 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 03:32 PM Welcome back and as @pacejunkie punk said, thank you for all your hard work, we all know how life gets in the way of doing things we love at times. I love this forum and will be very happy to see it thrive again. Thanks to all the rest of the team too, we really appreciate what you do. 2 3 Quote
Popular Post Little Boy Named Booze Posted Sunday at 03:46 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 03:46 PM Wow! Great news!! 🥳 Make GDC great again. Gonna try to be more online and active like I was before. Would be cool to eventually bring back GDC Awards, April Fools day, speculations.... etc 5 Quote
Popular Post Lindsay Posted Sunday at 05:14 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 05:14 PM So glad to see this. Both GDA and GDC have such special places in my heart as I have made lifelong friends & countless memories through this site. I'm not going anywhere! 3 3 Quote

There are some great communities out there, but reading comments on social media is depressing. It’s hard on a platform like that where you can’t moderate like you can on a forum. There are people doing good things out there, but I like the idea of something more tangible than just a feed to scroll past. 10 Quote
Popular Post pieterv Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM Looks like my irregular lurking happens at the right time to express some gratitude. Thanks to the entire team that has kept this (now probably considered old-school) forum community alive, and thanks to those that are committing their future time to it as well. This forum and GDA is the most cozy feeling place to go to learn about anything that's happening related to Green Day. It's lovely to hear that this community will live on in the foreseeable future. 3 2 Quote
Popular Post That Dude Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM This has been my hangout spot since April 21st, 2008 - the day before Stop, Drop and Roll came out. There's been crashes, drama and one time I got in trouble for asking who someone was (I gotta let it go!) - but man, it's always fun. No idea who 99% of your are in real life, but I feel like we know each other. We've been talking about Green Day together for 17 years. That's wild. 3 4 Quote
Popular Post solongfromthestars Posted 21 hours ago Popular Post Posted 21 hours ago I don't even do GDA because of Green Day anymore. I'm not on any other fansites or pages. I do it just because I value the sites and the community so much. GDA and especially GDC were my 'places' when I was growing up, in the same way Gilman was to Green Day. That probably sounds sad but it's just how it was for the people who grew up alongside the dawn of the internet, and honestly, I'm one of many people who has met real life friends through GDC so it's not like it isn't actually 'real life.' I've felt like throwing in the towel many times but I'm glad I haven't. It's very rewarding to see the sites making a comeback and to hear from others like me who are glad to see it. I won't pretend I can keep up with the other fansites when it comes to news because I can't, but for me, GDA has always been more than news anyway - it's about the community, info and fun anecdotes that aren't found anywhere else. I'll carry on doing my best for the foreseeable future ☺️ 4 1 4 Quote

lizziebix Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Such great news. I found this forum because of GDA. I had never looked at fan sites before that. GDA/GDC changed that and not just because of the band but because of the people on here. I’ve met many and hope to meet many more. This is really a great place and can’t wait to rediscover GDA again. Thanks for all your hard work, Fuzz! 1 Quote
