Insomniac1984 Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM It seems this gig in Colombia will have 23-24 songs. I hope Green Day plays longer shows, at last 25 songs. Saviors was a good adding to the set. Now Bobby Sox is starting. Quote
Mollyluna Posted yesterday at 06:13 AM Posted yesterday at 06:13 AM The return of the trilogy!🥰 And I love that Saviors seems to keep its place in the setlist!❤️ 1 Quote

The show they are referring to in this story is the one of September 7th though, which is Sao Paulo I think 1 1 1 Quote
Dysfunco Posted yesterday at 11:31 AM Posted yesterday at 11:31 AM (edited) I know its a stretch, but considering its a dual anniversary for Insomniac and Warning this year, and songs from those album has been snuck into the setlist as of late -- what if some of the choices is based on the fact that they originate from the Warning era? There's been reason to speculate that songs such as Oh Love and Brutal Love might have existed in one form or another as far back as Warning/Cigarettes & Valentines era. Sadly I don't expect there to be a Warning Anniversary box-set, but if there is it would be so cool if it turned out both Walk Away and Missing You are included as early demos/outtakes from that era. One can dream atleast, right? Edited yesterday at 11:32 AM by Dysfunco Quote

I got so excited when I saw livestream I assumed it was for the show that night. Teach me to not read the thing Only found twenty second clips of The Grouch and Missing You so far on IG. Hoping full video shows up and that the rain didn’t turn people off from filming Quote

If I was asked for a theory of why they brought back some Trilogy songs last night, I'd say that it's more related to them being written around the time they toured South America in 2010, and this tour bringing back memories of that. We know some Trilogy songs had already been written around that time because they had done snippets or played them for soundchecks, and we also know that Billie's mind frame during that tour was close to what was represented in the Trilogy 4 minutes ago, pacejunkie punk said: Oh thanks. Teach me to not read the thing I also initially thought it was for last night 😅 It wasn't until the second or third time I saw it that I realized it was for another date. Makes sense too, because the Sao Paulo show is a festival, so we can expect some high quality video from it 😁 2 Quote
Little Boy Named Booze Posted yesterday at 12:42 PM Posted yesterday at 12:42 PM Everyone excited about The Grouch but they did play it a lot during their 2023 tour. Really hyped about Missing You tho!! 1 Quote

Really?! I had no idea (I had no idea there had been a 2023 tour to begin with, except for the handful of small Saviors promo shows) 😅 I was still on my sabbatical decade. But that is so cool! I wish I had gotten to see it live. Still hyped about it. I don't think I can be properly hyped about most Trilogy songs (with some notable major exceptions) 🫣 Although I think if I'd been at the show when they played Missing You I still would have lost my mind (and my voice singing along) 1 Quote

I was lucky enough to have heard it at Quebec City with 1981 (first time ever, Saviors wasn't even announced yet) and Stuart and the Ave. But I would have replaced it for a trilogy song 😭 1 1 Quote

It was only played twice Quote
