Gwen Stacy Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Descendants, Rancid, Operation Ivy, Fifteen, AFI, Best Coast, Generation X, Billy Bragg, Bruiser Queen, Buzzcocks, Dog Party, The Dopamines, FIDLAR, Hüsker Dü, The Interrupters, Jawbreaker, The Leftovers, The Linda Lindas, Lipstick Homicide, The Misfits, The Muffs, Mystic Knights of the Cobra, The Offspring, Pinhead Gunpowder, Teenage Bottlerocket. A lot of my music taste has been shaped by Green Day. That’s why I don’t consider their pop/rock crossover appeal to be a bad thing. 1 1 Quote

I saw him in March at a tiny show in Lancaster which he did in support of Citizen's Advice. His sister is the CEO of the CA North West and lives around here, so he did a benefit show, which was pretty cool. 1 Quote
Göta Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Most importantly blink-182, All Time Low and Sum 41. Also Ramones, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Frank Turner and Nothing But Thieves. Don’t think I’d ever discover The Story so far or Hot Mulligan either, although GD didn’t directly lead me into those bands, they got the snowball rolling that eventually brought me there. Also discovered other bands I love like The 1975, Against Me and Frightened Rabbit on this very website back in the day. So directly or indirectly they’ve brought me to more or less 70% of all the music i listen to. Weird to think about. Quote

It's really nice that he plays random tiny shows for charity. Quote

Robbie1039 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Honestly, nothing besides their side projects. It’s cool to hear their influences, but I just haven’t gotten into them. Crazy how a band you love can have strong influences from bands you won’t like much. I find that’s the case with all bands I like. 3 Quote
