On the latest episode of The Office Ladies with Jenna Fischer, and Angler Kinsley, they had the director of Ordinary World, Lee Kirk, on and he revealed he's working on another project with Billie Joe. He didn't give any details as to what it was but clearly Billie still has the acting bug.

I’m never going to get over the lack of a proper film of the musical with Billie in it.  I love Broadway Idiot but it doesn’t give us the full performance, which we know he completely nailed.

I hope it’s more acting. I guess it’s possible it could be movie music or script writing but I really want to see him act some more. He seemed really into it for a while and then it just stopped.  I was hoping for that Young and the Restless cameo 😄

Wish it wasn’t with Lee Kirk though. Billie was great but the film was just meh.

Billie in that movie was adorable and great in every moment 😍
I think with a good script and a good director he would have had a chance to succeed as an actor.

Cool! I greatly enjoy watching Billie act whether it's good or bad :lol:. But I think the best acting he's done (besides the AI musical which was on stage + singing so more in his usual lane) was in Ordinary World. I thought the film itself wasn't great but the acting including Billie's was good. So hoping something comes from this.

Ooh how exciting! I have yet to watch Ordinary World and don't know if I ever will (that moment in the trailer where he's like 'you up for a little quickie?' always makes me cringe lmao) but I'm excited to see what this means! Might be another few years though until we get any more information. 

Could explain why he's going to London so much too, the movie could be taking place on location there!

How about a Trilogy movie, complete with bmw's and a tattoo of a pig sniffing glue?!

DJ's getting attacked, Billie meeting a girl named Lady Cobra as he rides through his old haunts.   and perhaps the most interesting part of the trilogy, that loud, loud dress.

This is wonderful news!!! I love Ordinary World even if it's not the greatest movie 😅 (it is much better than Like Sunday Like Rain) SO I hope that whatever they do will have Billie as the leading actor... in a more exciting role if that's not asking too much

If they working on it together I'm guessing it's another vehicle for him. Maybe he's wanted to act again all this time but wasn't finding any decent scripts or roles he thought he was right for, so Lee could be writing him something.

A couple scenes are cringe (poor Rebecca Naomi Jones 😬) but I admit I’ve seen it more times than I can count.

I liked him on Haunted. I liked the character he was playing and the set definitely matched him. It was a perfect fit.

Agreed. I never saw all of like sunday like rain but the trailer was enough to put me off. Ordinary World was definitely better. It’s funny to see Billie working and living an ordinary life. He always seems a bit stumped when interviewers ask what he would have ended up doing if the band didnt make it
