Green Day will release the album "Hillside Dance" in 2025

Was at Bad Nerves / UltraQ gig the other day and heard that Green Day will drop the B-sides album titled "Hillside Dance".

Yes and it became a full on meme on here with people making fake Hillside Dance covers etc lmao. Seeing this thread title was a blast from the past!

Don't know about the past of this title but this was the buzz. Were jokes about how fittingly goofy the title is and some connection with their hometown.

The only thing I could see is a compilation release for next year’s holiday season but nothing they would have to promote sooner because they’re playing festivals all year. Feels more like an off year, but they did release God’s Favorite Band at the end of the RevRad tour so to have a B-sides collection to mark the end of the Saviors tour wouldn’t be that crazy an idea. They’ve done the Dookie/AI anniversary sets, they can’t do another Greatest Hits comp so it’s the only thing they can release next year (I don’t think we’ll get another Insomniac release)

What would be nice IS a double CD for fans with rare material like live versions of kerplunk and 1039 not ofently played songs, live and studio covers songs, unreleased b-sides and alternate versions

I don’t appreciate the judgemental comments. I have been an observer on this forum for a long time, a life long GD fan, and when I had this piece of info I wanted to share with you. I’m not going to disclose exactly which band member told me what. If you don’t want to believe then don’t and wait for the news.

I mean, even I, a fervent Green Day fan back in 2009, didn't remember the whole Hillside Dance debacle and that suspected name. So for a troll to dig up that very obscure piece of trivia 15 years later seems unlikely.... they either really are a long time observer of the fandom and with a really good memory (and then why troll? and also, starting a harmless rumor online is hardly trolling), or they really heard this rumor going around. Doesn't mean the rumor itself has to be real though. 

My hope for the end of the Saviors tour is that they release a full live show, or a compilation from several shows mounting up to a full setlist - I choose to believe this is what the rumor they heard was about
