stories and songs Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Wow, this would be a big one (in terms of general cultural relevance) if true! 1 Quote
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 The band does seem to be on a mission to play places/events they haven't before so could be 4 Quote

Popular Post Mar Posted November 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 20, 2024 Giving up hope that they'll actually tour the US in 2025 tbh 😭 It's cool that they're part of such a big cultural event, but selfishly I hate festivals. I can't physically or financially swing them. 7 Quote
PhuzzyPhriend Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I am unreasonably excited for this even though I know I won't be there LOL. 3 Quote

Same, I was really hoping they’d swing back around with a normal tour again in 2025 but now they’re scheduled to perform at least a few times every month for the first seven months of 2025. Maybe the festival circuit won’t be as taxing as their touring schedule, but I imagine they’ll want a break after July. But who knows, maybe they’ll do a little US tour in the fall. I also can’t do festivals for a variety of reasons so that’s out for me. At least we’ll still get to see them from afar most of next year, I guess! 4 Quote

Yeah, it’s better than a year off where we don’t hear from them at all, but festivals are a big no from me. I’m sure financially it’s a great deal for them, they get paid to play at a fraction of the touring cost and trouble 4 Quote

Flashback Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 So happy for them! And headlining next to Gaga is also great since Billie and Gaga always had very kind words for each other 2 Quote
Cris. Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Was reading the line up for the dates Green Day is headlining and I found a couple of surprises: Gustavo Dudamel (he's a very famous Venezuelan orchestra director) directing the LA Philharmonic? I love classic music, so I'd take it but, quite eclectic 😂 And Rawayana? They're a Venezuelan band, and I had no idea they were known enough to make it Coachella, as far as I was aware, only Venezuelan people were aware of their existence so I was very shocked to see them in the mix. Also, Jimmy Eat World I almost want to go. 1 Quote
jengd Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 And a band who used to be called Slaves and recently re-launched as Soft Play are very excited to be going too. I loved their old stuff, not sure about the new but they’re pretty under the radar hear so to see them on the list is wild. Should be playing on Green Day’s day though, clear influences. Quote

Paola17 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow (RSD, helping a friend at an event, an opening night, and then traveling to see family) But I should arrive just in time to catch their set and put it on the TV in my parent’s living room and having them watch too. 1 1 Quote
