Maus_am Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I’ll be there. Open air I’m assuming, fantastic! Does anybody know what to expect of this venue? The Capacity? Will it be one giant Moshpit or separate areas? Quote

Beathe. Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Sure! I went last year and didn't expect to go back but here we are. 😅 Quote

Popular Post Beathe. Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Posted 9 hours ago There shouldn't be outside shows in Scandinavia. 😂 The rain and the wind.. Even with a rainponcho parts of my clothes got wet and they still are. Luckely it's a short flight to Oslo. This was definitely one of the coldest shows for me. I went to this festival last year as well and the layout is weird. There's GA and premium tickets and parts of the premium area is very close to the bands' area of the festival. I thought there was a line for the bathroom several times but after a while I realized that there were fans who was trying to see the bands and at least one lady tried to cross over to the band's area. Security got her but I don't get what their thought process was here. There was an opening between GA and premium where Security went back and forth - and crew members and family members went walking by too. They didn't watch the show from sidestage but from these tents close to where the cameras for the stage was. Right before they went on Adrienne walked by us and a couple of songs into their set Sara walked by as well. They played Brat 😁 Love when Insomniac songs get's played and it's not just Brain Stew/Jaded. They also played Fuck off other than that the setlist was like the other shows. When making the introduction for the band Billie Joe also included himself and said "I'm Billie". He kept saying "tack" which means thank you. It's very similar in Norwegian and Danish too, so I'm guessing he'll keep saying the same for those shows too. The part of Hitchin' a ride where they usually stop for a longer time to get the crowd pumped up - it wasn't skipped but it felt rushed compared to the other shows. Don't think anyone who was there as a casual listener noticed. No stagedive for KYE because of the rain and how slippery the stage was. Before Bobby Sox, Billie Joe thanked us for waiting in the rain. He said it right before he started the song and mixed up the first and second verse. He laughed and said "I messed up" and started the song over again. I'm hopefull for a better weather at Tons. 🤧 5 Quote

This setup of ticket areas sounds...interesting! Let's hope you all didn't catch a cold, the band included! And have fun at your home festival! 1 Quote

Some of their crew members sat in the Premium area to eat and watch other bands. It didn't look like anyone was bothering them though which was good. It was probably a better view of the stage for them and obviously their choice to sit there but it's definitely different compared with other festivals. Thank you. 🩷 I got a small cold after Vienna and it's sticking. 🤭 I'm going to be in the VIP area at Tons so I think it will be good. The weather seems to be better and it's pretty easy for me to get back home afterwards. Hope the band is doing okay after playing two festivals in a row in the rain. 🤞🩷 2 Quote

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit jealous that I wasn't there for Brat, I love that song. But I'm with you on the love for Insomniac being played beyond Brain Stew and Jaded. I've said so many times that I wished for them to show some love to that album this year, with it being its 30th anniversary. I feel they are low key doing that, without making a big fuss about it I hope they keep two songs rotating though, rather than Fuck Off staying in the setlist as a replacement for one of the rotating songs. Also, hope you're feeling better for Tons ! 1 1 Quote

Manifesting that they'll play it at a show you're going to. 🩷 Insomniac is my favorite album so I'm all for more tracks and love for the album. 86 was really fun too! I agree. Fuck off was the only song I didn't know from their set 🤭 and it isn't something special so hope they keep changing it up for us. 🙌 Thank you! 🩷 It looks like the weather will be better for tomorrow (it's pretty decent today 😁). I haven't been to Tons before but I can imagine it being a little chaotic with the shuttlebuses. I'm in no rush so as long as I get there it will be fine. 😂 Quote
Göta Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Glad I ended up bringing my rain coat, even though it got a bit humid and gross after a while. 😅 The crowd was very active and that was really fun, but I was a bit surprised by how crowdy it was; I was maybe 15 rows or so from the stage if not more but it was still hardly any room to move. Met some lovely people but also had a guy standing next to me who was so drunk (honestly can't believe he was able to stand on his legs) who made the waiting in between the last sets quite unpleasant. LOVED that they played Brat. I've been listening to it a lot lately so it was such a pleasant surprise. It's such a fun song and they should play it more often!! One thing I didn't like was when Billie encouraged the crowd to film during Good Riddance. Didn't see that many phones (compared to other shows I've attended) during the rest of the set and when so many actually did as he said it ruined the ending a bit for me. Has he done so at other shows as well? Hope it was a one time thing. 1 Quote

Maybe he tried to change it up since we were standing in the rain all day? Tbh, I thought he was kidding with the hand gesture he made at the end. I thought it meant done/close it down. But inbetween my contacts moving around and the damn rainponcho after god knows how many hours who knows. 😂 I'm sorry you had a drunk guy next to you.🩷 I saw the guards carrying out a man because he was so drunk. Don't understand why people like that bother going to shows. Quote
