Joraz Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 (edited) Weird question, long time green day fan. Any idea of where would be the best place to meet the band and when in Melbourne? Edited October 2, 2024 by Joraz Quote

Any idea of where would be the best place to meet the band and when in Melbourne? Honestly, you’ve just gotta get lucky. When I was in Adelaide I just happened to meet Mike when I was out getting lunch. In Kansas City I stood outside the hotel they were staying at for hours with nary a glimpse of the boys. I’d hang around the trendy neighborhood and keep an eye on their Instagram pages. Maybe search Twitter for people who’ve mentioned seeing them. Quote
Gwen Stacy Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 By the by, tickets secured. This time we're going pit 😎 the best pit I've ever been in for a Green Day show was in Australia so I can't wait! Quote

Only other big concert ive been to was Guns n Roses 2 years ago but been to heaps of small aussie bands concerts front row, hoping to be front row and yell out to Billie. Gonna be a blast! So hyped. Gwen Stacy Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Anyone else here going? I’m planning on getting in line around 11 or so Quote
nowshesgone Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I really hope this show (and the rest of this leg) keeps up the trend that the asia shows had with pulling random songs out, even if it might be a bit impossible with these full album shows 1 Quote
Gwen Stacy Posted February 28 Posted February 28 You’re probably right. Dookie and American Idiot together would be roughly an hour and a half. Plus throw in their other standard hits they play plus a few Saviors songs, there’s just not a lot of room. Still, they’ve stretched themselves on the East Asia portion of the leg so one random deep cut is certainly possible. My heart will always be set on hearing Forever Now live again but who knows 2 Quote
scottnz6789 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Over in Melbourne for the show from NZ. Do any locals have any idea where I could meet MaryJane so I can have the ultimate Green Day! Quote
Gwen Stacy Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Well I got here 6 hours before doors and there are maybe about 200 people in line ahead of me. Looks to be a good turnout! 1 Quote

Flynn Posted March 1 Posted March 1 surely they can drop the random deep cut/new saviors song, if dookie and american idiot is roughly 90 mins that means they have an extra hour of songs since it goes from 8:15 till 10:45... i guess we will see! Quote

Doggins Posted March 2 Posted March 2 GD never throw in deep cuts in Australia so no point hoping, the setlist was pretty much as expected! Some more Saviors songs would be good but I mean it's a pretty big setlist already 1 Quote

Some more Saviors songs would be good but I mean it's a pretty big setlist already I think they premiered Too Dumb To Die live on the Aussie leg of the Rev Rad tour IIRC. I do think we are starting to take for granted how incredible it is that they’re playing Dookie and AI in full. I remember the first time they played Dookie in full (2013 I think?) and we at GDC lost our minds. Let’s face it, we’re spoiled as fans. That being said I’d take any Saviors song or almost any other GD song over One Eyed Bastard. Ah well, it’s always incredible seeing them. Can’t really complain. 1 2 Quote
