AFAIK Jaded is a term for being drugged up. And noticeably Billie was.

Maybe because they have a song titled Jaded and they were in Chicago?

there was no jaded in 1994. MTV came up with the name for whatever reason

Jaded means bored/cynical/apathetic. I assume it's just an apt word to describe Green Day's songs/aesthetic at the time (plus that kind of attitude was the cool thing in the 90s).

Oh yeah, forgot it was 1994. Though they did play insomniac songs in soundcheck

New theory... Unplugged in New York was huge at that time, maybe MTV just thought they were being witty

Ohhhh so that's what jaded means! I always thought it was just another term for being high, because the song Jaded has a meaning noticeably about it.
