Montclare Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 This thread made me think of picking up the guitar again, which made me think of checking out the classes where I learned guitar. They have a Green Day ensemble class starting next week. Class is already full, and being taught by my least favorite teacher, but it makes me happy that so many people signed up. 🙂 2 1 Quote
GreenDayJunkie86 Posted March 4, 2024 Author Posted March 4, 2024 (edited) One of my aux cords gave out the other day. I wonder while it breaks, but I am also pulling on it by the cord to unplug it and throwing it to the side when I am done. 😅. I require two aux cords to play because I have a distortion pedal. I guess I can't play with distortion for a while 😔. Edited March 4, 2024 by GreenDayJunkie86 Quote
Popular Post greenalert997x Posted November 15 Popular Post Posted November 15 I don't want to create a new topic, so I'll post it here For those interested in playing guitar, especially Billie's style, I've recorded a short tutorial. This video may help you to take a closer look at his technique. I think Billie's style is very distinctive and unique – fast strumming with downward sudden breaks. Dingle Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Dry Ice , 1991. 13 years old. Love @greenalert997x guide. In Guitar World, interesting article on string spacing if anyone's interested. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/lifestyle/lifestylegeneral/why-string-spacing-can-radically-change-the-way-an-electric-guitar-plays/ar-AA1JEj5U?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=EDGEDB&cvid=691b6114fbb1460b8351ddda00025a42&ei=35 2 Quote
greenalert997x Posted November 18 Posted November 18 After a long time I picked up the guitar again and I got into recording phase. I want to share some more of what I’ve recorded I remember listening to Green Day when I was 12 and being fascinated by the guitar sound/rhythm, especially Billie's style. Before I started playing guitar for real I used to do so called ,,air guitar'', immitating Billie. So by the time I grabbed a real guitar I arleady had a good sense of rhythm/ strumming in my head. (I certainly don't hold power chords like Billie, and that actually deserves a separate mention too; it's very characteristic; does anyone hold power chords like Billie ??) 3 Quote
Popular Post GreenDayJunkie86 Posted November 21 Author Popular Post Posted November 21 Glad my thread resurrected, hahah! Wow I haven't posted anything on here in a hot minute...I guess I'll give an update I have gotten three more guitars (two electric, one acoustic). One of the electrics were gifted to me, and the other was on sale at Guitar Center. The acoustic electric was a used guitar at Guitar Center, but I have to buy a new battery slot for it because it was gone when I got it . So yah, two Epiphones, one Cort. I got a new amp as well because the one I got from a pawn shop was trash. Its a fender rumble 25. Great amp . The Guitar Center near me was so fun when I went a year ago. Now the employees are trash, except for one guy who was the only one helping me. I wasn't planning on buying anything, but I started to play American Idiot on guitar, and this random guy just joined me on bass. We both started singing too, hahha. Magical. Glad there's still some cool people near me, haha . 2 3 Quote
