I love how hard they’re going with the anniversary theme. Dookie and American Idiot are both loved by general listeners and I think appealing to that nostalgia is a smart marketing move.

I just knew they had to be back on Rockin' Eve this year, but I sure as hell wasn't expecting 5 songs!!!

I’m guessing it’s more like, they’re the first band to play 5 songs on the show? Which would make sense. I usually tune into these shows and they have artists play 2-3 at most.

They will almost certainly play TADIKM and popular AI/Dookie songs, so while it grammatically implies they’ll be playing songs live for the first time, I highly doubt that lol.

That's how I took it but being in UK don't know the programme but it would be unusual I feel.  I'm sure they mean they are playing 5 songs on this show for the first time, four old (Dookie and AI) and Dilemma first time live.  As ever, hoping some kind soul will capture it and share it with us all!
