P-Mac Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Got my tickets this morning, very easy, roll on June 2024! 1 Quote
gmcloughlin Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 I'm going to this show kinda wish they were doing Dublin first, then the UK shows. Instead I have to fly over for this gig, back home for Dublin two days later and then fly to London for Wembley 🙄 A week's holidays from work...... the things I do for this band 😂 1 Quote

Two gigs in England, then I flew to Dublin for the next one, then back to Glasgow 😂 I’m not getting tickets to this one just yet, I’m undecided. If there are tickets nearer the time I’ll take it as a sign! 1 Quote
It's Splash Time Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 I've got my ticket (through the gigsinscotland presale, not the album one lmao I'm not preordering anything from the official store after the last time)! Going to try for hamburg tomorrow I think, I've been wanting to visit anyway so why not use it as an excuse. Quote
jengd Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Got my tickets, just wish it wasn’t such a poor venue. Quote

Could you please elaborate a bit about what makes it a poor venue? I'm thinking about getting tickets as I've been wanting to visit Scotland since forever anyway. All I can see apart from the VIP options are General Entry tickets. Was there a PIT/Golden Circle option as well or has it always been like that? Quote
MillenniumFan Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Just got my days off confirmed for this show, so looking forward! Might be that I just end up going to this, not Greenfield, though both would of course be coolest. Quote
MillenniumFan Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 So after unconfirming my confirmed holiday, it's now been reconfirmed by HR. So, all good to go (finally). Fingers crossed this time the band doesn't cancel 😬 But joking aside, this will be great, I'm so looking forward! Quote

It wasn't the band that cancelled in 2017, it was the promoters not getting the stage ready in time (and trying to blame the weather). It went fine in 2022, although it was painful getting back into town, nevermind Edinburgh, so I've booked those bus tickets in advance, despite having a bus pass. 1 Quote

I think it's a poor venue for a number of reasons. It's just a bit park which is taken over so public transport is awful to it in the evening, you need to book something like Happy Bus to get back and fore or else you have a very long walk back in to the city centre. The Wifi is awful which means buying anything is painful without cash and accessing your mobile tickets is painful too. 1 Quote

Interesting, I don't think I had any issue with accessing data or buying anything (at least nothing more than expected when there's tens of thousands of people also trying to use it), but I agree the transport back to the city centre is a pain. Last time I managed to get on the last first bus back to the city centre, but it took half an hour to go the short stretch from me seeing the bus to it getting to the stop, the traffic was so bad. Do recommend finding an alternative, unless you're up to a long walk. Quote
gmcloughlin Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 Me 😁 currently being shown around the city by a Glaswegian friend of mine. Can't wait for tomorrow! Quote

Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 From this tweet from NTB it says Green Day will play/start at 8.30 pm (that's 1230 PDT and 1530 EDT) Quote

I hadn't even noticed that. That would seem odd. I've never been to this venue. Does anyone know if that's really a thing? 1 Quote
Montclare Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 When I was there two years ago, you just picked whichever gate you wanted to wait at and then ran when it opened. 2 Quote

I think it might be different now. Someone who was there for the cancelled RevRad show said they were initially at the wrong gate today and then there's the VIP but I could be wrong 1 Quote
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 They're in in Glasgow. Apparently they were half an hour late letting the VIPs in. Only one side of the stage has VIP. The other side is GA. 1 Quote
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Maid of Ace are on Apparently it's drizzling with rain there Quote
