So the Isle of Wight festival usually gets quite a lot of coverage in mainstream media in Uk, which may be why they are doing it.  Hopefully those of is the Uk can share some it when the time comes.

Does anyone have any experience from the festival?

I am looking at planning a (very last minute) weekend trip from Ireland just for the Sunday which would cost approx. €500 (2 nights accom, festival ticket, flights, train etc) on the idea that it might be my only ever time to get up front at a Green Day gig (I will never be the type of person to be able to camp/ queue/ wait for hours at a normal gig to get up front due to different reasons).

I saw them in Lyon last week and will also be going to the Dublin gig but I am just so TORN over the IOW and have spent weeks trying to plan, find accommodation etc as it is not straightforward.

I'd doubt that they will play both albums, but it'd be great nonetheless if we have another proshot

I know this is Green Day Community, but Nothing But Thieves were SO GOOD. Listen to them if you haven't already! One of my favourite bands.
