Thanks this was great! Our first real interview about Saviors. Thank god for Rob Cavallo he recognized what was great and where they needed to push harder like always.  Can’t wait for Father To A Son. Interesting comment too that he made about this time focusing more on the quality of the album than the tour. “An album is forever, a tour is one summer” Maybe as opposed to the last cycle where Hella Mega was definitely prioritized over FOAM.  He couldn’t sound more excited about having  new music out and for everyone to hear the album and that feels really good. 

And it wouldn’t be a Mike Dirnt interview without him saying “firing on all cylinders” and he did not disappoint 😂

One day, we'll get an album cover with the guy's face on an engine of some kind to properly symbolize this, haha.      FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS - THE 16th album?   I'm listening now and it's great.

God the freaking interviewer cut Mike off as he was really starting to delve into the new album he's like ok let's focus on American dream! Wtf dude and then he went off about his daughter and so on it's like y know let Mike talk dude you're not that important

Cool interview. I liked hearing Mike talk about being adopted and trying to find his birth mother. It was really interesting. Did not like the interviewer. He wouldn't let Mike talk!

The guy was the totally unprofessional trying to hog the interview no one cares about him or his daughter we wanted to hear him ask Mike questions and get out of the fkn way but Mr in love with the sound  of his own voice wouldn't shut up and allow Mike to talk probably why he went into y know mode lol

Well he implied they cared more about the tour than the album as opposed to this time it's the reverse, for whatever that's worth

Cool interview, Mike has def caught the y’now bug 😂😂 I like his final comments about judging people all the time, spot on. He sounds genuinely excited about the record which is great to hear.

Mike sounded surprised when the interview host pointed out the similarities between your first single having a zombie apocalypse theme and the second single being about having no brains! I guess one or two cylinders may still just be stuck on at a flicker 

also TIL cylinders can be used to fire at an emotional level, like he said!
