I personally do not hear the similarity to the songs though. Two entirely different songs. Theres also only so many chords, progressions and rhythms one can really use (unless youre Rush and somehow seem to have infinite ones). Green Day at the 30+ years mark has already done everything. With that said it doesnt sound like any other GD song. It has parts similar to rev rad but as a whole piece its unique. And while its not their best, I still think it’s cool. 10 1 Quote
That Dude Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Tim Armstrong produced Try This in 2003. So What was produced by Martin. Quote

One Eyed Bastard is a song that was confirmed when it was added to Billie Joe’s SESAC database. SESAC is in charge of collecting royalties on Green Day’s song catalogue. Based on the date of the song’s entry into the SESAC database it appears to have been recorded around the same time the band were working on The Network album Money Money 2020 Part II. ONE EYED BASTARD SESAC work number: 710731275 Apparently a GD demo leaked called One Eyed Bastard in 2021 but disappeared pretty quickly. 3 1 Quote

If to be officialy released the rip of off P!nk would be worse than the Pollyana rip of off Hoffs potato fries (the ones who knows knows) I hear the Sum 41 in it too. HoneyEmerald Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 This could be a single.. and have nothing to do with the upcoming album... just thinking... which makes it even more irritating that it was leaked. 1 Quote

Even if there was a case to be had It would be a waste of a lawsuit right now Pink or whoever owns the publishing would spend more money on lawyers than they’d get in court since GD has not released this song they have made zero money off it 3 Quote

Countless bands have ripped them off and now theyre at a point where theyve made so many songs theyre getting picked apart for random verses or lines sounding like other songs. 3 Quote
Popular Post JardyOfSuburbia Posted June 23, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 23, 2023 Finally listened to this song and I really think it would be a banger live. Also, pretty catchy that I think it would get some solid airplay on the radio. 6 Quote

Little Boy Named Booze Posted June 24, 2023 Author Posted June 24, 2023 Just remebered Tré taggued P!nk in an Instagram post like a year ago. Nothing to do with OEB? 1 Quote

That Dude Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Maybe P!nk is in The Network and got her hands on One Eyed Bastard when they stole the masters to Cigarettes and Valentines! 1 Quote

Psycho Britney Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Look at this-you don't log on for a few weeks and look what you miss!lol! Just listened to the song...and I like it! I really like the guitars, and especially the 'stop start' ending (very technical term here!) 😉 I think it's slightly 'heavier' and would sound great live. I can't make out all the lyrics, but I think the 'say oh' bit is a cute nod Billie!🤣 I can't hear Pink it in like a lot of other people.🤷♀️ 1 Quote

Popular Post stories and songs Posted January 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 3, 2024 I love this song lol. I don’t really hear it being that similar to the Pink song (I get the comparison, but they’re quite distinct to me) and I think it’s really catchy and fun. It reminds me of Say Goodbye, which I love, but maybe people also don’t like that song lol? 😂 5 Quote
Christian's Inferno! Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 I was hoping it was a bit different from the leaked version. I wasn't expecting much though. The version we heard already sounded pretty complete. The vocals don't really sound like the rest of the songs to me though. They aren't FOAMF vocals but they're not really Saviors vocals either, based on the singles we've heard. So I was hoping they were changed a bit but whatever, it's an alright song. I feel like the hand claps are going to be something that everyone criticizes this track about once it officially releases though. I've been critical of the overuse of hand claps on FOAMF but I don't think the presence of hand claps on a song is a bad thing and it doesn't seem that out of place on this track anyway. The fact that this is the only song out of the 5 we've heard that has them (unless studio version of 1981 has them) indicates it's not going to be overused on this album like it was on FOAMF 2 Quote
BratReject23 Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Today I listen to it again, what a great song! I’m glad that is part of the album! 1 Quote

I guess Holiday's riff was inspired by The Passenger too, but the whole song is something else. Quote
jengd Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Sounds good to me, the bass feels quite high in the mix from the clip, which I like. 1 hour ago, frankoz said: "So what?
