Random and odd things your non GD fan friends like about Green Day ??

What are some of the more random and odd things/songs that your friends or family who are not Green Day fans actually like about Green Day ??

 

My wife doest like them or hate them but she loves the “Ordinary World” song. Thats it, thats the only Green Day she really loves !!

 

Actually she loves singing/quoting  the line from the FAther of All Single

 “ ooh uhh Honey, count your money”

 

Just that bit, nothing else…..

I have gone on dates with two different people who weren’t Green Day fans, but they BOTH said their favorite song was Amy.

That seems like a really bizarre choice. I wouldn't think that would be a song most non-Green Day fans would know, let alone have as a favorite.

My Niece (10) and Nephew (6) saw the Peter Rabbit film a year or so ago and then became obsessed with Boulevard of Broken Dreams - I thought "Yes!! They're finally seeing the true ways of the world."

 

...needless to say, it was short lived.

It got quite a lot of media attention both back then and recently with the ten year anniversary. It’s likeable enough and it’s very touching. I can see how it would stick with people who’ve just happened to hear it but aren’t fans.

If they're both fans of Amy Winehouse, maybe that's how? It was written for her, after all. 

My friends are fans but they were fans in the early 2000s so they don't really listen to them. One of my friends said though that he thinks it's really cool how Green Day allows fans up on stage and if they're playing guitar Billie lets them keep it.

I think in both cases, they just happened to hear it from a friend who had it on a playlist or something. 

I mean to be fair, when I say they aren't Green Day fans, I just meant they don't follow them or actively choose to listen to them. In both cases, they did like certain Green Day songs, but those were usually the hits that are played non-stop

My boyfriend listens to some Green Day but he really likes Threat level Midnight. He references it all the time though I keep telling him it's The Network, sworn enemies of Green Day.

My wife is pretty indifferent about Green Day but she said they put on a great show and enjoyed the concert we went to. There are some songs that she seems to like though like Warning, Extrodinary girl.

She actually really likes the Longshot!

My sister absolutely hates Green Day and she can't stand that I love them and like to go see them but she did once say she liked KYE
