Green Day will be headlining the 2022 F1 U.S. Grand Prix

i know the race is at 8am as thats what it says on my groundpass ticket (i had to buy on top of the ticket to see Green Day) it says 8am but GD don't play til 8pm or later in the day i believe? 

Anyone else's saying 8am too? I'm just still so confused lol i just hope i bought the correct ticket (general admission) for the pit bc this layout for the concert(i bought these back in march mind you) is just so confusing l

All the tickets say 8am the grounds Pass and the GD tickets and it’s weird too because even though the Green Day tickets say General Admission, they have section, row and seat numbers too. The venue looks like an amphitheater with a pit, seats and lawn but there was no seat selection when I bought them it was all GA so I have no idea if there’s seats or not or who gets access to where. Just gonna show up and roll with it.

Ah thanks I see. Yeah I hope GA means pit bc yeah the tickets for this venue seem so confusing haha

 

i wonder too bc out or curiosity i looked at ticketmaster under this show and now no tickets for sale on there say GA the ones they have left all say some type of seating and section

Do yours say pit on them or do they have seat numbers?

I just looked at Ticketmaster too to see a seat map but the seats/sections they are showing are for the race grandstands not the amphitheater. I think you have to buy those first before you get to see the Green Day add ons which I wasn’t gonna do just to see the venue map and availability

Same I have sec GA1, row GA5, seats 27 and 28 and below that it says General Admission

And the reason it’s important is because it speaks to the question of do we have to line up for eight hours or not? I’m almost positive we do but I’m not totally sure I don’t have reserved seats.

That's why I'm confused. All the tickets were sold as General Admission but clearly there are seats. 
 

Edit: Those are the tickets in my Apple Wallet, but when I access them now in the Ticketmaster app, it has no seat number and just says Standing Only so that must mean Pit

I wonder? I wonder if they want everyone to come for the race then just wait for the show bc now I'm nervous about my ticket lol and don't wanna not be let back in 

 

ok so mine are different in Ticket Master too vs my phone wallet. On TM mine say "standing room only concert upgrade"

Heard today that this even will be broadcast this weekend on Sirius XM so may want to do a little searching and see if the Green Day show will be part of that broadcast 

Edit: looks like it’s just race coverage Saturday and Sunday. Oh well

Ok, so does anybody know when Green Day is actually supposed to start?? I can't find anything that has a specific time.......not even my ticket. Everything just says stuff like "after the racing action is over, head on over to our main stage to check out Green Day". Wondering if I need to call someone at the track and find out.

According to the last email of info, the last race ends at 6:30 and the concert starts 1.5 hours after the track closes, so around 8pm

I'm so confused too bc on the cota app its saying Green Day plays 6:45-9pm? 🤔

I have a hard time figuring how they’d forbid that. The email from the event I got earlier today had instructions on how to find the concert venue within the complex so I’m sure they’re expecting it to some degree

I've been reading on the COTA website.....apparently if you didn't purchase or don't have a parking pass, you won't even be allowed onto COTA Blvd....and the only parking passes they have still available are the 3 day parking passes at $180. Looks like they do have several park and ride shuttles that I am looking at now. 

Ugh, I hate to say it but this just seems to be turning out to be more of a cluster fuck than I had planned on. Kinda considering if I even wanna go at this point. 😞 😞 😞 Not to sound like a Debbie Downer or anything,......I just know it's gonna be INSANE to get in and out of......
