Costa Mesa is by Newport Beach/LA area.

Orange County. It’s where they have another Otis studio

I thought that looked like a Network guitar.  I can’t share the photo but we also saw the garage door that was ripped open that Nathaniel posted.  I wonder if this was an enclosed unit and this was all that was inside. There had to be a whole storage room of equipment at that site if it was the studio.

That joke about the 1972 masters going missing is starting to take on more meaning now 😲

i think both are network guitars, but the white one is definitely Fink's. It was in a few of the videos from Money Money Pt II

It strange though. If you google the address in the Costa Mesa PD's post, there is a bunch of auto repair shops with doors similar in style & color to the one that Nathanial posted in his story and then a bunch of apartment complexes. Not to say their studio/rehearsal space isn't in that area and off a side street.

It would be weird for the guitars and amp to be stored anywhere else unless they were in the trunk of the car or something.

And the studio could be tucked away somewhere. The one in Oakland is unmarked among a strip of shops. You wouldn’t see it unless you knew it was there. This could be similar.

Then you have to wonder how the thief knew to look there

I’m still wondering if the thiefs broke into a random storage unit, and took what they thought was valuable, or was it targeted directly for the car

I realize that this is largely a joke, and I know little about music recording, but wouldn't the masters all exist digitally?

I would have thought so but I don't know much about that stuff so...

They would exist digitally....but they wouldn't be the same. I guess Green Day will have to scrap 1972 Cigarettes and make a new album called American Valentines.

it was probably Panicland

This made me laugh more than it should have😅 The good old times.

But honestly, this is really bad and I hope they'll get it back soon.

I hope he gets his car back soon🤞🥺Whoever stole it should return. I also wonder did they steal any other cars from the same neighborhood too?
