Didn't see a topic for this. NBC aired a promo for Pete and Miley's NYE show during this bastardized SNL and hey, saw a familiar name.

Alone again. At least this time they didn’t have to say Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. He’s been doing this so much he’s finally getting independent name recognition. I’m sure he’s on because they’re doing the Superbowl show together with Miley so this is all required promotion, but still, perform as a band guys?

If it’s like last year on Fox I will laugh so hard. That was terrible. And I don’t know if the person running Fox’s Twitter was drunk or what but they were so rude and ignorant it was HILARIOUS and then the tweets were mysteriously deleted 😆 

Please don’t let this be something prerecorded from before 2020 😆 

I stayed up so late to watch that and it was TERRIBLE not only prerecorded but previously aired old footage from before lockdown 😆 

I’m going to guess that because Billie Joe is sharing it on his Instagram that even if it’s prerecorded at least is will be something we haven’t seen before.

Yeah really hoping this is new. I forgot about the trashfire of last year's "performance" and how bratty fox was when fans started complaining. Ugh. Stayed up late for nothing!

I certainly hope it's new!  The way it's advertised does really make it sound like he'll actually be performing this time, though. I think we can breath easy, even after such a huge disappointment like that.

I know it’s probably going to be a solo acoustic performance, but I reaaally hope it Isn’t. I want to ring in the New Year with the energetic vibes of Punk Rock! A slow acoustic performance would just bring back thoughts of the damn at home concerts. At the very least, play with an electric!

I really doubt he would do a major performance with the beard. We have seen him do small shows or interviews with the beard, but for something like this I would expect he would look the way he did during Hella Mega.

That's true. I kinda forgot about the TikTok LOL. He looks like he is getting back in performance mode.
