Apparently the mods here found out the first single will be called Saviors. Or Saviors is at least part of the title.

Well for all we know I don't even think it's legit. I want proof and I'm not gonna blindly trust GreenDayBrasil instagram just because they posted some Saviors stories.

Yeah absolutely nothing's confirmed. I just got confused when people were like "we know the lead single is gonna be called Saviors. The mods said so" when that's literally just not at all true. Does the G in GDC stand for gaslighting?

Absolutely, lets stick with the facts, and what's officially announced, from a reliable source.

And these are the facts as we know it:-

Jan 10/23 – New info from a close band source: despite the 1972 name teases, album 14 does not have a title yet and they are still “in the middle” of working on the new record.

Feb 28/23  – Chris Lorde-Alge who mixed Nimrod, American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown and Uno/Dos/Tre, has posted two pictures from the studio featuring Green Day in the past couple of days. In the first photo, he can be seen giving Billie Joe a Les Paul guitar for his birthday. In the second photo, Chris is posing with Mike and Tre while Album 14 producer Rob Cavallo sits on the chair in the background.

May 2/23 – In an interview with Solid State Logic, producer Rob Cavallo indicated the new Green Day album will be released early next year. There was some thought that the interview was old and Cavallo was talking about 2023, but it's confirmed with a band source that the new album is in fact scheduled for release in 2024.

So, from this we KNOW album 14 will be released in 2024, as always, a single will precede it, and also as we know, a tour to promote it will follow.

It could be the name of an ACT on a multi-act record.   Saviors of the Universe, Guardians of F(woo!)   Maybe it's more like 21st Century Breadown than Idiot.   Maybe a Nimrod / Breakdown hybrid because they know it's not wise to ever compare anything to the one-two punch of Dookidiot. 

Saviors of the Universe.   Crusty Saviors...... could be any kind of saviour.     Could be something like "I used to be a saint / now I'm a digital saviour / only smokin' grass cause there is no tiny manger / use to smoke the cocaine / oh no, it fried my brain / Amanda is in pain - oh no /  She's extraordinary, right!   SHe's riding the dinosuars into the night/  Lady Cobra brushed her hair too tight /  oh yeah / daylight / daylight/  OOOOH!

What do we think the lyrics will be about?   Will the buzzwords be gone?  I hope we get crazy song titles like Zanzabar Toetub, Melted Ice Pit and Wowbeat Monsteoni Savior 2.
