There's two things two the last teasers:

1) Billie is either a massive troll, or lending some credence to the Rob Cavallo theory.

2) The video is from RAK studio 3 NOT Abbey Road, whatever that could mean (or not mean). Love the song though, even gives me slight Nimrod (or pre AI Green Day) vibes. So pumped!!

Also who's voice is that in the background? Could it be Cavallo's?

And especially the fact that he placed 1972 right on top of Rob’s scar!!! Guys, Billie has been reading this thread!!!!!

It's basically all but confirmed at this point that Cavallo is involved here imo

The clip sounds more powerpop, the guitar tones aren’t as full as they usually are.

What do you mean by "usually"? I agree with a lot of what you wrote but not this. On the one hand I think the production and song reminds me a lot of the Cavallo era in general (which stretches over more than a decade). There's certainly some Nimrod elements in there and even a bit of American Idiot, as well as perhaps snippets of the trilogy. On the other hand, the production (including guitar sound) already varied a lot from album to album even previous to the trilogy. Yeah it was always somewhat similar, but Insomniac and Nimrod still sound different for example and then there was of course Warning, which everyone seems to forget. Not to mention that American Idiot yet again made use of a different sound profile than the 90s albums.

I'm curious what the vocals are gonna sound like on this release. It was after American Idiot that Billie's vocals started to change quite a lot. I still really like the vocals on 21CB, and I think they were fine on the trilogy too. AI still had those vocal filters but Billie didn't sound that much different on AI than on Warning. Of course, it's not just the vocal production that's changed since that time, Billie's voice has changed throughout the years too so I'm not expecting to hear 2000-2004 Billie on this album

Definitely have been wondering about this as well. Recently(ish) for The Network and also in the acoustic version of KYE I felt like he's been trying out a new vocal style, which was sounding really great and less strained in the higher range. I've been wondering whether he'll do something similar here

I kinda wonder if they are just doing more remixes of the trilogy as well as some new songs. Sounds exactly the same as some trilogy songs. I think songs like 99 Revolutions, Stay the Night, and Let Yourself Go are the worst songs they've ever done. They have the same annoying choruses. I don't mind using some trilogy sounds but do something different like build upon the Clash type dance sound of Kill the DJ or the garage type sound again of Dos or Father of All. I mean I'd definitely prefer more of a rock opera type sound but they don't seem up to that anymore which is fine.

This song sounds like the one from the first teaser from RAK studios
