I really don't understand why people always feel the need to compare them to Green Day. They are entirely different bands who set completely different goals for themselves. They both share a lot of fans, have similar influences, and gained success in the 90's, but they really don't have as much in common as people are trying to make it seem. Think about the stones and the Beatles. Sure, they're both British and were the two biggest rock bands of the 60's, but their music is completely different. I don't care if you think that blink is good or not, but just let people like what they like, and let's get back to Green Day. There is absolutely no reason to keep coming back to this bullshit debate. Also, there is MUCH worse music in the world. I know that you guys would still rather listen to Blink 182 than Dream. Falsetto was not something that Green Day introduced into their music with FOAMF 21CB had quite a lot of falsetto. The trilogy had falsetto too. The trilogy had falsetto too on Oh Love and Drama Queen and it sounded fine there too but didn't really sound any better than anywhere on 21CB. Drama Queen also was written for 21CB, but is just a boring ass song anyway. I really don't care for how the falsetto sounds anywhere on FOAMF. I don't care for Degenerate on MM2020 Pt II either. But I'm not against falsetto on this album. With how these teasers sound, it would probably sound better here than it would've anywhere on FOAMF. This snippet got me really excited. Green Day's sound has evolved massively due to the team of people they've worked with on recent records with varying results. I feel the combo of Rob Cavallo producing and Chris Lord-Alge mixing really epitomises what sounds like Green Day. Billie's vocals have got a lot of space and sound natural and upfront, the guitars panned ultra wide, drums and bass punching and I can't be happier. Same goes with their 2003's Modern Artillery albums, contains tracklist named Jimmy, 8 mins mashup song like JOS and even same artwork concept like American Idiot. Wonder if Billie sometimes take inspiration from this band or just interesting coincidence.
