Maybe 1972 is how many days we were going to have to wait from the first hint. 🤷🏻‍♂️

There were no hints about 1972 in Scream 6 OR the trailers, unfortunately.

Some music by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Demi Lovato that was really good, but no Green Day.

This may not be true necessarily. There was an Ice Nine Kills easter egg intentionally put in the movie... must be telling us Nineteen-Seventy-Two will be a chill but killer album. Plus they did a great cover of Good Riddance a few years back. Green Day metalcore album being released next Friday confirmed.

Nice connection!!  What was the Ice Nine Kills connection?

I hope it's metal core, but then ends with a Country song fronted by Mike Dirnt called "I'm lonesome, high and damned".

GDC has changed to orange font.  Does this mean we are nearing an imminent release in March, 2028?

I think you just took too much LSD this time.

It was the exact same amount as usual.

I'm starting to think Green Day's new album isn't coming out in March.

Probably not even in April.

The new album will be digital-only; it will be distributed exclusively to GDC members via link to Crush's proprietary cloud storage service, called (HELLA)MEGA.

The files will be protected by password, and they'll attempt to lead us on an AFI-style scavenger hunt to gather clues, eventually revealing the credentials. But, because Crush is really bad at this stuff, we already know the password is 1-9-7-2. Username bratwurst.

In Scream 6 there's an Ice Nine Kills flyer hung up on the refrigerator.

As I said before and I‘m sorry to say it that clear: you unfortunately contribute nothing substantial to this topic and you only spread non-sense. Could you please cut back a bit? Or share it in another thread but this one? Thanks :)

I hope not, but maybe the band are doing quality control of their previous material to line up with the excellent, high end material they are dropping in 2023/2024/2025.

It's Haunshinka levels of bad.  But still pretty good, but only compared to non-Green Day music.

What about today?  Will 1972 come out today?

Just got off the phone with Billie. He said that Tre wanted heavier drum fills and that's why they are re-recording the song.

Imho Haushinka is amazing song, can't understand why you think it's bad. Anyway, GD don't do bad songs they're always good, don't forget what Mike Dirnt said, quote.

"Green Day is like sex, when it's good it's really good. And when it's bad, it's still pretty damn good." 😁

He‘s right (except for „Nightlife“ 😂)
