Couple of interesting things near the end:

Jason talks about the decision that led him to being an unofficial fourth member during the trilogy and there was no drama about its temporary status, it had everything to do with the fact that they wanted to record live in the studio with two guitars so his involvement on the record elevated his profile a bit but for the next album they went back to the traditional way of tracking and that was it. But he was never really a fourth member like that, Green Day was and is always a trio.

The other thing he hinted at was possible Pinhead Gunpowder activity. Jason is meeting Aaron this week while they’re in NY just for a friendly meetup and (maybe with the reissues creating interest again?) there’s a chance they could decide to record and/or tour next.  It’s up to Aaron but he made it sound like a possibility

Yeah totally. I also loved the humility with which he talked about his battle with cancer in 2014. Jason is truly a great man.
