FabiGD
Hey people, so I always wanted to create my first cover because I like the idea of hearing Green Days songs with my guitar over it. The only thing I still need is an authentic guitar tone that they had in their song Waiting from their Warning Album. If anyone of you has any clue of getting close to it, feel free to tell me :) It would mean much to me. Thank you very much! Shtrudel
I'm not a sound expert and I'm not sure how to get this sound myself, but I'll do my best to help: The intro sounds like he used some black magic with his LP Junior guitar. Somehow, the strings sound very vibrant and alive. Try to around with the volume and tone knobs, I saw some people play around with them on P90 to get a more "acoustic" sound. When the song back to the clean sound again, (about 2:20), this time Billie puts a capo on the first fret and plays the shapes of G>C (C9?)>A sus4>D. I'm probably wrong about the sound, but again, I tried. Good luck. Edit: I originally wrote the chords as G>D>A sus4>D, fixed that.
