Told you so 😉

I mean, it makes sense. He likely would not perform by himself, certainly not when promoting a tour for the entire band. Anyway, I can't wait to hear what he has to say (and see him of course). The band is probably way too busy prepping for the tour to take time out for a performance like this.

At least we get to see his pretty face. Preferably without a beard.  I hope the interview is longer than 30 seconds. It better be good if it's gotten all this hype.

So just an interview? And a performance by Weezer and FOB?

That seems to be the consensus now. I guess we will find out pretty soon (except I am at work so I am waiting for this to hit YouTube LOL).

Also, the previous day's show seems to get posted here, so we should be able to watch it by tomorrow: https://abc.com/shows/good-morning-america

I know it's early for him but he just seems so disinterested and seems to be doing the interview from Adrienne's craft closet??

I- okay, they really gave poor billie barely even an minute best of talking, I was hoping for more of an interview BUT HEY he looked amazing, he shaved (finally)😂 and he looks great in general

The vast majority of the time through GD's career he's been disinterested during interviews lol. GMA interviews aren't usually very interesting, probably even less so when done alone sitting at home.

Very blah and less than thirty seconds. Keep in mind it was 5:30 am where he was but it certainly didn’t do much to hype a big tour.  He’s back to the signature “Green Day hair” that I guess is a required thing now and when asked about new music Billie said nothing in the immediate future, they’re just focused on the tour and Rivers went on about writing four albums (SZNZ) that are coming out next year.  I had hoped for more excitement for finally getting back on the road after two years.

But also Weezer and FOB each pre recorded one song to perform. You telling me Green Day couldn’t have done that?

Honestly though is Billie known to ever act particularly excited/cheery in interviews? It's just his way.

True I guess I was just hoping for more enthusiasm this time because his absence from social media is deafening.

Pete had a flight delay and missed the interview. I’m glad because his time would have been even shorter

Yes. His absence combined with his attitude is doing nothing good for the fandom

Exactly even if he was disinterested in interviews with previous tours, it didn't matter too much because he was posting lives and you could always feel his excitement and enthusiasm through them.

I'm interested to know if Billie's uninterested attitude transfers to his performances.

I thought it did during the 2019-2020 promo performances but not during the few live shows they did so I think the tour will be enthusiastic

Has anyone watched Green Day interviews from the 90s onwards before? He used to be waaaaay more grumpy and disinterested than he ever is now lol. He would openly act bored and have contempt for interviewers. Just because he doesn't act all excited and enthusiastic in interviews it doesn't mean he won't be on stage, he's never ever been unenthusiastic at shows.

I can’t imagine he’s not also feeling anxious about it with cases going up here again, masks returning indoors in LA and Foo Fighters having to cancel a show. Everyone is excited to be getting back to live shows but also with an ominous feeling
