MarriedtoMikeDirnt Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 I know I'm definitely hoping for at least one synth-heavy song, and one song sung by The Snoo.
That Dude Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 A bunch of Viva Death covers and a Misfits cover! This Viva Death band has me intrigued. I am definitely checkin out all their catalogue. But on topic. I believe The Network will have more fun this tome around. Off topic once more. Listening to "Unclear" from Viva Death and it sounds like Gorillaz. What the heck?? Anyway. The Network have lightened up a bit and are partying at the end of the world, of course. Â
MarriedtoMikeDirnt Posted November 9, 2020 Author Posted November 9, 2020 On the topic of covers, I think a random cover of a Green Day song (probably one that is popular) would be nice. They've gotta prove they're not Green Day somehow. But of course Fink can't sing it; everyone will think it's that Billie guy. Maybe this could be a chance for Z to shine.

A Captain Underpants and Z duet on a Polka / Classical reinterpretation of.... Longview.

Balducci does some vocals as well, which is fine. There is plenty of room. This rendition features parts of Right Hand O Rama and is 85 minutes long. Lol. A straigth up Networkified Longview might work. How about Boulevard of Broken Dreams?

I'm truly speechless. I'd like to know what goes on in your head on a daily basis.
Slave To The Network Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 I want a cover of The Ult- I mean Sound the Alarm.
solongfromthestars Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Another siren like the one in Supermodel Robots. Also want to know how Spike is doing these days.
Little Boy Named Booze Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 I want a song like Supermodel Robots. Because you know the song is good when you have police sirens for a solo. 4 hours ago, solongfromthestars said: Another siren like the one in Supermodel Robots. Annie, get your gun Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Anything. As long as they announce it soon. For the first time I can experience the hype for a new Network record, so I'll take anything they have, even songs in German.
GuitarPunk94 Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 do we know yet if it will be a LP or an EP ? Â
Jrem Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 I’m hoping for more songs like Transistors Gone Wild where both Fink and Van Gough have vocal parts. also I heavily agree with having a Spike sequel. Â
Eric Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Hoping not to see an upcoming album by the network. They should just focus on a new Green Day record. Pretending not to be some band and having some "beef" with Green Day while being Green Day is some WWE type of shit. Green Day should just be able to put out an some decent experimental album under the name GREEN DAY. Not this b/s.

In regards to the last sentence.....we got FOAM, and it is the worst thing they've ever put out. 2 hours ago, Laly said: Anything. As long as they announce it soon. There really wasn't any "hype" per se when the first Network record came out. It just kind of appeared. MAYBE two or three articles on Greenday.net right before it came out and then the few months after up until the Key Club show and then it totally died down. Wasn't a ton of activity on the Network message board that used to exist either. Â Does anyone recall when the Network website originally shut down? I think it was the end of 2004 maybe early 2005? Long time ago...

So is the record. Complete embarrassment.

The lazy attitude this band has shown over the past few years is starting to bother me.
