So, it’s interesting that Shazam recognizes Ivankkka and the snippet from the car video (the song is called Trans Am) as part of the Trans Am EP, but not the Prophecy or the “Threat Level...” snippet.

Since the Trans Am “date” video actually has “TRANSAM” written on top of the odometer, I think it’s safe to assume only the EP will drop on Friday, and that it will NOT include The prophecy and Threat level (or however this song is called). I don’t think Shazam is gonna be wrong, somehow they already have the song fingerprints and their labeling in their database, so that’s it. 

Either it includes only Ivankkka and this new Trans Am song, or these two plus something else we didn’t hear anything from so far. 

Very cool and well structured release strategy so far if this is the case, another point where Green Day should pay attention and take notes  

Edit: didn’t remember that Shazam is owned by Apple, so here’s the explanation. Apple already has the EP in their Music catalogue, waiting to be published. So that’s it, EP out on Friday, at least these two songs, I would say for sure not the other two we heard so far.

Yep, since 2018 apparently. And it directly communicates with Apple Music. I think both ways, sharing the song database to match fingerprints and sending Shazam “search” data to Apple Music, they use this for the Apple Music for Artist functionality for example.

I have a record player now, so I am prepared for however this album drops.  

But it's the  Network so these jerks will probably do an 8 Track only release or some bs like that.  

Here is to hoping for some kind of weird, wacky booklet, possibly with more info about the boys (or girls or whatever they are) inside.  I want last names, middle names.

I have to do one tracklist and then I'll Coffee and Repent: Mach II.

I think they will named It as EP just because will have 2 songs. 

Trans Am will be the "lead single", and Ivankkka a "b-side" that only was released because of the elections.

And later they will drop the full album.

Maybe an ep of 2 or 3 songs on Friday, and an album on December 20th

Maybe an ep this Friday and a possible midnight release on New Year’s Eve? That could tie into threat level midnight

If they announce a physical album or EP it probably won't be released until next year. A lot of vinyl manufactures are experience a shortage due to COVID and now most new albums have release dates in February or March.

They could still release it this year and just have physical editions ready for next year. I've seen different bands do this for new EPs and such.
