Magnum Opus Of The Inglorious Kind - confirmed NOT to be Green Day

I was trying to make another point but I failed miserably in trying to copy and paste several quotes. But my point was going to be that I totally agree with the comments that the song snippets do sound remarkably like GD and Billie and it seems improbable that someone would go to this much trouble with this elaborate of a hoax. But on the other hand the 2 Panicland connections (the lifted audio snippet and the studio) are just a coincidence that can’t be explained away. So that’s the dilemma that is keeping me from buying into this. Would like to be convinced if someone’s able, but can’t be if you’re unable to explain the coincidence logically.

they know for sure about the mootik leaks or fake leaks and they remain silent, the account and videos are still online. if that is fake is damaging the band so. dont make sense to be all fake.

So I’m gonna play along here. I don’t have time to read through this whole thread so I have questions for the true believers to catch up and clarify. How do you explain the following?

The audio in the one video that is a replica of part of the  Panicland  video, therefore obviously lifted from that.

The studio that appears to be in Canada and is pretty much a replica of the one Panicland  have recorded in.

I never really bought the Panicland theory to begin with. Billie Joe saying something like "totally" and "let's do it" is generic enough that I don't doubt he says it a lot, and it probably sounds like all the other times he's said it. As far as the studio note, pretty much every studio control room looks more or less the same, so even though they make look similar, I don't think the studio we see in the videos is whatever studio Panicland was in.

MOOTIK = Third King?

brennan.huffing is obvious phonery.

But to be honest every time I see something from these copycat accounts, it's so fake it makes me more confident in the doback ones. Those are just so thorough and realistic.

Wasn't it confirmed to be the exact same audio?

Perhaps? It may have happened and I'm just not aware. Even at that- was it confirmed close enough to rule out the idea of "Billie just says 'totally' in a consistent way"?

I still think it was someone in the studio watching the Panicland/Longshot meetup video on their phone. And I’ve been thinking, if this is an elaborate hoax, why put so much work in an epic sounding song just to troll Green Day fans? See, it doesn’t make sense!!!

maybe they can't record in USA because they had a contract with Warner, they can reclaim that was recorded before FOAMF.

Ok so this is also why I asked about the recording rights to demos with Warner.

We don't really know if there is any relationship between Green Day and Panicland. If there was a contractual loophole where they could record music in a different place, as a "demo," once FOAMF sessions were complete - maybe the band called up Panicland for a favor to use the recording space? Its an absolute stretch, I know, but still an idea?

As it was said several times, it is likely that video, audio, music and location are unrelated to each other. As it was shown before, the location is indeed a studio in Canada. It might be likely that Panicland has nothing to do with this.

Dugan Chris is aware of people talking about "Magnum Opus of the Inglorious Kind" -from Instagram.

Except for a recent interview, I was never aware of conflicts between band and label. Can someone elaborate on that with stronger facts?

I've been listening to Green Day for a long time now, but I have never been active online. So, what I would like to ask is if there is anyone who has close contacts with the band who could give more insights into this possible album? I am asking here since it seems that several people might have close relationships with the band.

On a completely personal note, I think that the "Father of All Motherfuckers" is a below average album -from the two songs I've heard. However, I find those leaks to be very interesting, but I would be somewhat concerned if Butch Walker is the producer -of these leaks that might as well be on "Father of All Motherfuckers".

C’mon guys. Someone was listening to the Panicland video in this and only one line was clear? Billie repeated that exact line with the same words and inflections? Green Day decided to record at some random studio in Canada where Panicland also has recorded? None of these are believable. I think you all need to accept that the videos themselves are debunked. The only thing that holds weight is the audio because it sounds so much like Billie/GD. And the one tip from a photographer who said that the MOOTIK cover was a rejected cover for Gods Favorite Band.

I can't believe this thread is still going

It's like we're all in denial. I remember my disappointment when the FOAMF cover art was first released - after expecting the work of art as part of the MOOTIK leaks..

FOAMF itself as a single didn't grab me, but I didn't mind it - but then Fire, Ready, Aim came out and phwoar what a stinker that is..

So I still hang on to hope that MOOTIK is real

In the very unlikely scenario it is real and we've all been trolled - I'm not sure how I feel about that

But most like it's not GD trolling us and someone out there has too much time on their hands and Green Day have gone to shit

What a time to be alive

i had a dream. it was played on the radio. it was all over the place. (despite sounding like someone trying to sound like green day). maybe we were all just dumber back then. (or maybe dumber now?)

really though it was kind of a neat song.

love, papa

I actually love those 2 songs!!! But the MOOTIK theory totally makes sense. FOAMF is just a FBHT record labeled as Green Day to finish their contract with Warner. Fans in the threads were quick to notice that they were dressed up like the FBHT on Jimmy Kimmel, and the fact they had Kevin playing with them instead of Jeff. And again, Billie said in the KROQ interview that they’ll put out another album right before the tour!!! Billie says he hates long songs now, but in one of the videos recorded at Whisky a Go Go, they play FOAMF once, then Billie says, “That was too short, let’s play it again!”
