Also in terms of backlash from part of the fandom.

GuitarPunk94
the new songs may sound fresh and they fit in todays general music scene, but sth doesnt feel right with the new songs if the rest of foam sounds like the 3 songs we got so far, it will probably turn out like this for me: foam < every other GD main-LP

The Longshot album is better than FOAMF, Dos and Tre. So glad he hasn’t completely lost his writing ability, but it’s a shame to see that this is his standard now for GD 😞 Hope GD retire after this tbh. I don’t want them to ruin their legacy even further. I’ve defended these guys so much throughout the Trilogy and RevRad but I can’t defend this in any way. Feels like they’re throwing us the leftovers of their entire career and laughing in our faces. Don’t even know if I’m looking forward to seeing them anymore tbh. 2

When you’ve dedicated your entire life to Green Day following them, idolising them, spending thousands of pounds on them, seeing them live it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth to think this is acceptable. I can’t believe people are lapping it up. I’m sorry that some of us hold them to a standard but this is below par. People can laugh but I’m being serious. “Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah” “bulletproof backpack”. People reading into the lyrics like it’s a sacred text 😂😂😂😂

People were saying the same shit about it too because the album wasn’t Dookie 3. 6

Totally respect people not liking it because it is very different. What I don’t respect is people acting as if they have insider info that the band has given up and are releasing these songs cuz they don’t care. Maybe they do care, and wanted to be creative, and try something new. Honestly do you think anyone expected AI to come after Warning? No. Green Day is constantly changing and evolving. 3 hours ago, HAPPY ROOTING UNICORN said: You say? 😂 I thought Swifties were crazy, but at least they don’t constantly trash an artist they love. 4
Popular Post Beerjeezus
I just heard FOAM on the radio and listening to it randomly, it sounds like a perfectly good Green Day song. With the perk that people who hate them can enjoy it too because it's not so immediately recognizable thanks to the falsetto 3

I don't think anything could ruin them easily at this point in their career but I think Warning could ruin it since they were thinking break-up before AI and stuff but they got through a lot of things after that and definitely earned a lot of people's respect no matter what.

Popular Post RedundantIdiot
Oh Yeah- Out of the 3 songs this was the one I liked instantly. I like the video. I'm looking forward to hearing a live version. FOAM- Took me a few listens to like this song, but I love it. It sounds sick live. Looking forward to properly hearing it live when I see GD. FRA- Fits the brief of being an advert jingle. I love to bop along to this song therefore I'm thinking that it'll make a great addition to my exercise playlist.
