Aidana Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Can anyone explain me Green Day’s approach towards singles? How the hell grafitia isn’t a single? Quote
Yosuke Hanamura Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 I’ve got my shipping notice as well, although mine did come with a tracking number, and delivery date. Quote

petros Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 After two listens I don't get the love for grafitia. Overall great album I think I really like it. I say I think since my opinion may change. At first listen I love that it's not another punk rawk album and maybe I'm happy just for that for now. Even the cd rip quality we have right now is pretty shit so I wanna listen to good quality. I love the rock and roll songs and the laid back one (dont remember titles sorry). This may turn out to be the first release I find positive since 09. 2 Quote

At the moment I do agree that Oh Yeah! should have probably been picked as third single (I don't consider FRA a real single, it was released as part of the NHL deal, so different dynamic), with maybe either Graffitia or SY as the second choice to reassure part of the fandom. OY! feels like a label choice to have a radio friendly song out there during the album release, but it was probably perceived too much as a provocation. Or maybe that was the purpose and in that case chapeau to the band for staying punk 😛 But I do think FOAM was a great first single choice, it represents the spirit of the record, and I love the song. Plus it's one of the best live sounding song they have in their catalogue IMHO, so it really did good to that part of the promotion. 5 Quote

Any song from MMOTR to Graffitia is better than the singles. Maybe they wanted to give us something slightly different but not too weird with the first single, so FOAM fit that description, but so would Meet Me On The Roof. I'd make Junkies a single after that. 1 Quote

Musical-wise oh yeah was boring 1 Quote

Popular Post HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN Posted February 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 5, 2020 RevRad probably has been the best era in terms of single choices. Bang Bang was great, RevRad perfect for the part of fandom who loves that kind of song, and Still Breathing a good choice to have a radio friendly song out there. They should have followed the same scheme, but in the end who cares, it doesn't change the fact that this record is sick ❤️ 5 Quote

Depending on where these are shipping from there's still a chance I'll get it Friday if it ships out today, but with revrad my lp got to me a day after the release date. I also ordered the coffee but I haven't gotten a shipping notice for that yet. I think I'm alright with the vinyl getting here late, as long as I'm home to bring it right in so it doesn't sit outside all day, at least I'll still have the download on release day Update: it's now in transit with a delivery date of Friday, yay! 1 Quote

I wish they had named the album forever now 1 Quote

At least this time they spent some time writing a review, I checked on Metacritic and they also gave 2 stars to RR, but the "review" was five lines of Boris Johnson-ish mumbling 😂 2 Quote
