jeexx Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 We had an assignment of making a recording of a song as close as possible to the original with just computer tools for a production class. We shoot ourselves in the foot by picking Jesus Of Suburbia. What do you guys think we can do to improve it? Song Link: https://soundcloud.com/thedekline/jesus-of-suburbia
HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 In Italy we call this Tafazzismo. The word comes from this tv character, which perfectly represents your situation and choice: Sounds very good for a school project by the way, not good enough with technical stuff to know how to improve it. I am sure you will do good. Out of curiosity, what do you mean with computer tools only? Ps: congratulations, you just won the longest title ever award 😂
Hermione Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Hey welcome! I've just shortened your title a bit (and posted the rest of it in the OP instead) so it's a bit more digestible. I'm afraid I also don't have advice to improve it but it sounds very good to me!
Matt3BJ Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Great work! Better than some Kerrang covers by pro bands-you guys nailed most of the song. I'd give it a B+ For a school project this is near perfection though!
Jankowski576 Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Sounds really great! I would turn up the bass a little or try to get a more fuller booming sound on it and then that’s pretty much spot on
