MagicGraGraDaFan39 Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Idk if this was already created because i am using my phone and it won’t allow me to search, however i have never seen one of these. Some people may think that because green day plays songs that can sometimes be angry and/or filled with drug/alcohol references and swears that they would have a bad influence on people (mostly kids) that listen to them. I personally feel that is not true at all. First of all i find myself not judging people as much as i did before because I learned from them to not just judge people and i have found that i have been nicer to people. Also i have learned to not just blindly believe everything that i am told and that is especially necessary in this crazy world of fake news we live in (lets “legalize the truth”😂). They have also gotten me into music and that has helped me connect to people.
Sarcasm Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I always break stuff in public to stick it to the man and the man who works for the man who cleans it up
pouty bitch Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I feel like Green Day have made me a much more compassionate human being than I used to be. The guys themselves are very compassionate people who genuinely care about others, and I think a lot of that has influenced me during my time as a fan.
aydge89 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Seeing Billie's energy on stage inspires me to maintain a fit, healthy and active lifestyle. Especially given his age I hope to be as fit as him in my late 40s.
Guest Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Short version is I grew up in a shitty family with no one to look up to. When I found Green day at 12 years old it was like finding home. Finally some role models! I always knew my familys behavior and values were crap, but now I finally had some people to show me what was right. I don't know who I'd be without Green Day. They played a huge part in the development of my values, helped me be myself even when I got bullied for it, got me interested in politics at an early age, and the list could go on and on. They helped shape the person I am today and I'm thankful I found them to have as my much needed role models.
DeJennsitized Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 They made me care more. About politics, about standing up for yourself and for others. They didn't tell me to have their opinion, they just told me to have one.
pacejunkie punk Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 They helped me to feel better about myself even though I always felt different from everyone else, and that’s a kind of self esteem I’ve tried to instill in my kids too. My parents always told me I was weird, but I tell my kids they’re awesome individuals and Green Day taught me that.
gaslight13 Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 They taught me to be more open to trying anything and everything and to take life less seriously. I already had the other side (political, passionate, etc) but they reminded me that you can be that way and also be silly and have fun and not sweat the stupid stuff. Which I think makes me a more pleasant person to be around and able to spread that energy to others.
MillenniumFan Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Green Day is the primary reason I picked up the guitar and started playing in a band. And that was one of the best decisions I've ever made...
deleteduser7593 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 They teached me how to make music, but that's not the main thing, 'cause I don't know how my music could mean something to other peeps. Mostly, they've been the primary distraction when I was 11 years old and things were getting messed up around my house. I understand it even more, nowadays, how much important they've been.
